It has taken almost 5 minutes for this page to load...because Dish Internet is so slow. I had dial up years ago and it was faster. Their $420 charge to remove it from my house is looking like my only option - Unless I can find a class-action suit to join. Yes, they lied about the service and how well it worked, and when I all them about the slow service they say they are "looking in to it" This has gone on for months now. Yesterday I called about the slow service and was told that it was slow because so many people were using it....Uh, Dude - its a satellite, not a wire - shouldn't make any difference how many people are "using".
In the past we have been very happy with Dish for our television service, but the internet thing is the worst. I will pay their ransome fee and return to AT&T inernet - I simply can't live with this s l o w service. (I'll bet Dish doesn't use it!)

Argue all you want - Dish Internet is slower than dial up, and the rip off is they won't do anything about it. I'll pay the ransom and leave Dish forever. Pure and simple, it is too slow for most applications and they know it. The sales person who sold us this lied and lied...this is simply a rip off.

I just want to clarify that the amount of people using the internet can slow it down. This was all a part of their disclosures and the statement is true. Because it is satellite, it's not guaranteed speeds and can vary depending on the time of day, what you're trying to do, and data caps.
I had a similar issue with this and luckily, I setup thru a sales partner and they were able to pull the call and verify that all disclosures had been provided.
