While surfing the web on 12/07/11, I was attempting to compare sites for an estimation of short term loan values. Very limited info was required to get rates. The next morning. $300 was deposited into my checking account by DJR Group,LLC. As I neither applied for, nor completed a contract for ANY loan, I contacted my financial institution to have the transaction voided and have the money returned.

Imagine my suprise when I was informed that not only was there no info regarding my loan application, there was also no way to get in contact with DJR Group to have them take the money back. The bank was unsuccessful in returning the money. At that point the bank suggested I close my account to keep this group from withdrawing any fees associated with this transaction. I was also informed to keep this money safe so that it could be returned promptly when, and if, DJR Group came looking for it.

Lo and behold! Tuesday I received a threatening phone call from a firm called National Litigation. They placed me on tape and proceeded to harass me with trumped up charges of "attempting to defraud a financial institution". They stated that they were willing to charge me, and collect over $3000 in fees associated with this incident. They called me a liar when I described the real details of what happened on 12/07/11 and claimed they were prepared to drop all charges if I agreed to pay $625 to cover legal costs.

They also stated that failure to deal with them would result in Sheriff's Deputies coming to my place of employment, or even to my house and placing me under arrest for a felony. Feeling backed in a corner and confused due to the high pressure methods the attorney used, I paid the $625. I did this because there were 2 companies that deposited "fake loans" of $300 in my checking account that day, one being DJR Group and the other being Shoreline Financial. It was my understanding that this money would make the whole thing go away.

The very next day, National Litigation was on the phone again seeking $550 for the Shoreline Financial "fake loan". This time I was ready for them. When they started to record, I told them of the scam that both DJR Group and Shoreline Financial attempted to pull. At that point, the attorney(not the same one from Tuesday) agreed with me that the only thing required was to return the $300. This I did promptly and the matter with Shoreline was settled.

I now asked to be transferred to the attorney representing DJR Group. I informed her of her participation in the scam DJR was pulling and requested that she refund anything other than the $300 DJR had deposited in my account without my permission. She immediately accused me of threatening her and hung up after explaining that she would put me in contact with her supervisor.

This morning I called my bank and explained the situation to a high ranking member of the bank's administration. They immediately issued a transaction reclaiming the $325 I was forced to overpay to DJR Group for a loan I did not apply for.
I'm sure this is not over. However, a simple search of the web turns up between 25-30 similar complaints against DJR Group for issuing loans without the permission of those receiving them. They simply complete a contract and use a faked electronic signature. I will not be one of their victims. They have thought this scam out fairly well and are using an aggressive law firm to collect their fake debts. Please spread the word around, these people can be beaten as long as you stand up for yourself.

If National Litigation continues to press the issue, they will be charged with helping DJR Group. LLC to commit fraud. Don't let me be the only one who stands up to these crooks. If you know of any additional measures I can use, please be free with your advice. Thanks in advance and God bless one and all!!
