 On Sunday, November 10, 2013, we were traveling back to NC from a family wedding in Virginia.   Being slightly familiar with the area, we chose to purchase gas in the general Bassett area.  Unfortunately we chose poorly.  Dodge's Store displayed a big sign advertising $2.93 unleaded gas....purchad gas with a debit card (supposed to be like cash)....actually charged $3.359 per gal.  I understand that merchants are charged a small transaction fee by banks, but a difference of 42 cents per gal is extremely excessive.   Also, had there been ANY sign on the pump indicating the increase for debit cards, we would had paid cash instead.    We will NEVER stop at this store again!
