I agree with everything this former employee said. Alex thinks he knows how to run a business but in fact he needs to learn how to deal with people. Not only the sales people but customers. peple arent stupid and 99.9 percent of them don't like a hard sell. What they are doing is associating the Dolce Mia name with aggressive sales techniques. Everyone knows if you have a bad experience with a vendor you will walk the other way next time you see them. The company has potential but it needs someone who knows how to deal with people to run it and maybe keep AM in the office. After reading this review and hearing many other reps bad experiences I'm really thinking of talking to Costco.

There are several kinds of alcohol that are used in beauty products, some worse that others. Often, the term "alcohol" can be misleading, especially when it is only part of an ingredient such as cetyl alcohol and cetearyl alcohol, both which are commonly found in moisturizing products such as lotions and conditioners. Both these types of "alcohol" are really not alcohol as we know it. For example, Cetyl alcohol, found in our lotion, is most commonly derived from vegetable oils such as palm oil or coconut oil. In beauty products, it is used as an emollient and lubricant, an agent that allows for easier spreading of a liquid, such as a lotion. Cetyl Alcohol is a fatty alcohol (meaning it is an alcohol which comes from fat). It does not behave like a 'real alcohol' for example, ethanol or propanol.

Cetyl alcohol is often misinterpreted as an "alcohol" related to  ethyl or rubbing alcohol, both of which can be extremely drying to the skin. The truth, in fact, is quite the opposite, as cetyl alcohol is well known to effectively condition and soften the skin and hair. Because of its multi-functional capabilities, this ingredient is used in a wide range of personal care products such as moisturizer, face cream, shampoo/conditioner, anti-aging treatment, hair dye, sunscreen, cleanser and lipstick.

Unfortunately, this consumer changed her mind after seeing the word "alcohol" on our label and wished to return the products. She was told that we would refund her for any products that we could resell. Some of the products may or may not have been opened and then not closed properly before she shipped them back, and because of the way they were all thrown into a bag
on top of each other, some of the products opened, ruining the rest of the products and making it impossible for us to resell them.
