As a bulk domainer, I deal with the biggest registrars. They all treat me with lower rates when I do more volume and welcome my business. Key Systems aka DomainDiscount24.net is the only registrar that has basically tried to jack up my rates after being a long time customer. These guys are gangsters and employ tactics like the worst direct marketing companies. No where on the website does it say that after the first year of registration, the rates would go up by 3 times.

That is the truth about Key Systems. Key Systems tripled my renewal rates. Key Systems increased my prices without even bothering to notify me. No phone call, no email. In fact, if I had not logged into my account, I would not have even realized my renewal rates had tripled. They tried to rip me off behind my back. I am not talking about a $1 rate increasing to $3. Key Systems jacked up my rate from $10 to $30 per domain name. On a portfolio of 400 domains, that was an $8000 increase in renewal cost. Before the renewal, I spent $4000 with them. After they tripled my rates, they wanted to bill me $12,000.

Naturally, when that happened, I wanted to transfer my domains out, but Key Systems is the ultimate ripoff. Key Systems blocked me from transferring everytime I tried.

The worst part is that when I tried to leave, they would not let me leave. After repeated emails to Simon Roder at Key Systems to help me transfer out my domain, Key Systems pretended that they did not receive my request. Everytime, they said, "they are working on it" or gave some excuse.

Beware of Key Systems. Your domains are not safe at Key Systems. They are also known as DomainDiscount24 and they are a roach motel. You can check in but you cannot check out.

Simon Roder from Key Systems (also known as DomainDiscount24.net) actively blocked my domains from being transferred out. I have over 300 domains with DD24 for 3 years and they lied to me everytime I tried to transfer out the domain. I initiated the transfer 3 times on over 300 domains everytime they were blocked.

I spent 3 weeks dealing with Simon Roder from their support department (if you can call it support), and in fact, spent the day before Christmas on the phone dealing with him. Key Systems ruined my holidays.

If you want to the definition of a ripoff, look no further than DomainDiscount24.net aka Key Systems. The most ironic part is that Key System operates a business called BrandShelter that supposedly helps companies "protect their domain names" and RRPProxy to help domainers "profit from a reliable, effective technology within a worldwide leading reseller platform." Can a company trust Key Systems for their most valuable domain assets when you cannot transfer them out? Based on my experience with Key Systems, I cannot trust them to protect my customers domains or my own.
