Phoenix Metropolitan area Garage Door Companies ripping off consumers ex employees explains

Door Service Inc, Repair Specialist, Arizona Overhead Garage Door Service, Master Craftsman Garage Door Repair, Garage Door America, Precision Overhead Garage Door Service, Master Craftsman Garage Door Repair, Repair Specialist

The above companies are all the same company.
Their MO is to charge for services and repairs not needed.
The advertisements take up more than 4 Full pages in the Phoenix metropolitan area yellow pages alone.

I worked for the company, or I should say, I've worked for several of the companies. Actually, I thought I was working for different companies. It's all one company.

The company shows its employees how to cheat their customers. Rewards can be very lucrative. I refused. Without going into details so I cannot be identified I will not give specifics.

Her is one thing I can give you.
Using the newest Quest / Dex Yellow pages for 2001 and 2002.
Look in the Phoenix Yellow pages, specifically on pages 1012 and 1013.
Then take the East Valley Yellow Pages book on pages 684 and 685.
Take both these 2001 & 2002 books and put them together one above the other.
Look at them carefully.

My next question is, how can the Quest / Dex Yellow Pages sell these advertisements which are definitely deceiving to say the least? The sales person for Quest or Dex would definetly be aware of this? As a sales person, they are only worried about the commission. How can this be allowed to happen? Pure deception, misleading and a consumer rip-off for Dex making it so easy.

I've picked one phone number to give. They have more than 15 different phone lines that are all answered differently.

Consumer beware.

Thank you to the rip-off report for giving such a forum.
Keep up the good work. If I did not ever come across your web site, I would have never said anything. After reading many of the ripoff reports I realized it was the right thing for me to do.

ex-employee

ps- no, I'm not a disgruntled employee. As an employee, they did not have the opportunity to screw me personally. I know other employees who claim they have. But they deserve what they get form the company for going along with such a scam.

I'm an employee who is not there anymore because I cannot be apart of the scam. I may not be a religious person but I do have morals. I cannot be unscrupulous

How to determine if its precision door service your dealing with

AUTHOR: David - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, October 22, 2002

Before you call a garage door company be sure to visit the Precision Door Service web site. Use their store locator to compare the phone number and address of the company you are about to call against those of Precision Door Service. If you find a match please beware and heed to the warnings that the others here have posted. You can also visit your state and local license offices to find plenty of other similar complaints on this company and their franchises. www.precisiondoor.net

So Called Precision President Rebuttals Again Decieving the Consumers

AUTHOR: Dale - ()

POSTED: Sunday, May 26, 2002

Please beware, I am also a former employee of Precision aka two many to list. I wish I had seen this original report before I went to work for this company, for befor I knew what was really going on in this company, I had gotten screwed over because I also have morals and pride and refused to do this to people in turn after they owed me alot of pay I was fired.

This "President" of Precision is full of lies. If he acquired the company lately, he's lying, Precision and it's alias are individually owner and operated to decieve the customer. That STILL have multiple names in the 30 states their in with multiple numbers. They put fake addresses with the different names and use different numbers with each name. As the other ex-employee stated If you take the different phone books, you'll see. They put misleading ads in these books, for example, they'll put a different company name and state "In business since 1979", etc.

I had worked for one of the companies in Maryland, and can tell you about the same information and more on this company. The techs are NOT thoroughly trained, they'll hire anyone they think will and can rip people off, usally the young the better. The DO teach their employees to tamper with the doors, tell the customers there are things wrong that aren't, and to go as far as to tell the customer that if they don't have these things fixed, they have to sign a 10 point check list because the door can harm someone. Their prices are inflatted over a 200% profit from cost. As to the 24/7 thing, yes, they do offer this, but, the employee does not get paid to be on call 24/7. If they do not rip off the customer, they don't get paid. The only reason that their "Customers" are willing to pay these outrages prices, is because they're made to think they don't have any choice and most are none the wiser. They love when an elderly person calls for a estimate, they think they're the easiest to get over on. Each employee is trained only to rip customers off.

This company not only uses multiple names, but are now even using names of value with no permision and I have personally notified the companies of this. The BBB's and CBBB has been notified of this compaies scams and refuse to do anything.

Please be advised that this company and their alias are doing this to customers nation wide, it's a BIG SCAM to rip you off. Don't be fouled by their lies and empty promises.

Rip-Off Response

AUTHOR: Edward - ()

POSTED: Friday, April 12, 2002

This is a response to the purported "ex-employee's" claims regarding Phoenix Metropolitan Area Garage Door Companies submitted under date of January 29, 2001.

I am the president of Precision Overhead Door Service, one of the companies referenced in the report. The multiple advertising and name use reported by "ex-employee", initiated before I acquired the franchise, has been discontinued, and phased out of all new Phoenix area yellow page directories.

Although "ex-employee" does not reveal when he worked for the companies, I can categorically assure your readers that my company, from the date I purchased it, has never cheated its customers or sold its customers unnecessary labor or materials. Our technicians are thoroughly trained to recommend and perform only necessary or appropriate repairs or replacements.

Further, we pride ourselves on providing superb service to our customers. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. More importantly, we keep our appointments.

Our customers thoroughly appreciate this higher level of service, and willing to pay for it.

Your readers should be advised that the telephone number given by "ex-employee", 602-233-9660, is the telephone number of one of our competitors, Guaranteed Doors Company. We are not aware that any of the ex-employees of our company actually worked for Guaranteed Doors on January 29, 2001, the date of the report.
