I ordered a 1 HP Performance Pump for my pool on 7/27/07 and my credit card was charged right away for $144.99. I was under the impression that it would ship out the same day if ordered by 2 PM. Well it never went out. It is now the 2nd of August and still no pump. I am out my money and a pump. The lose of $144.99 is devestating to my financial situation. i have called and let the phone ring until the phone company finally makes me hang up. I have sent e-mails with no response.

I filed a complaint with the BBB and intend to also file with the FTC and NY AG Office as well. I am also going to pursue a report with the FBI as we are talking interstate transactions.

I just wish he would respond all I want is my pump, and a tracking number so I can see that it is in fact coming.

I ordered from pooldeals.com before doing my research (shame on me), and within a few days I was given a UPS tracking code.  The code was invalid.  Upon searching the net, I found the load of complaints and felt a lump in my throat much like the one when I found out that the moving company that left with all of my belongings were questionable to say the least.  :-/


I checked their site for a customer service phone number.  No number.  I did a whois on the website and found their contact information and had my husband call.  He called and left a very courteous message as I poured through the nightmares everyone has had dealing with DPD.

I was on my way to Syracuse, NY that day, so before I left I called the number back and left a VISCIOUS voicemail message (that I'm kind of embarrased of) telling them that if they didn't get back that I would drive my happy arse down to Niagara Falls and that someone would pay/have to answer to me/mean stuff/etc.

I got an e-mail within hours.  They apologized.  I was given the wrong tracking number.  They gave me the correct tracking number and the liner I ordered was delivered on time and is now filling up in my back yard.  The box was free from harm, it came with nice stickers (No diving, etc) and an instruction booklet.  The liner is perfect.  No holes/tears, was packed well.

It's rare that I ever get a good deal from a website with so many bad reviews, so I'm wondering if it was due to the threats (I hate getting nasty, really I do), or the fact that I live only six hours away?  I don't know.  But I can't lie.  I got a decent product and the price was good.  It took less than a week (ordered Monday, delivered Friday) to get here.

Because I was really harsh to their CS, I feel obligated to post a rebuttal - even though I know it will make those of you that were wronged very outraged.  I'm sorry, but I am a real person.  You can e-mail me at donicaben@gmail.com or Google my name and see that I am a real person that doesn't work for them.  I live in Ogdensburg, NY with my husband and two children.  I have a FaceBook page and a MySpace page and everything else established online to show that I'm not a made up person that has surfaced overnight.  :-/  I know how a lot of companies like to make fake accounts and stand up for themselves.
