Doctor Shida's main office is located a in Las Cruses New Mexico. Thats about an additional hour/ hour and one half beyond the hour / hour and a half I was already traveling to get to her satellite office in Deming New Mexico from wher I live in Silver City. I am retired / disabled; in a wheelchair. So, when I make an appointment of this type, I have to book with special transportation 72 hoiurs in advance. That said . . . .

My old dentist had retired. So I was in the market for a new dentist.  A had decided to try doctor Ashida as she had advertised taking Medicare insurance and there didnt seem to be any others in my town. Doctor Ashida had opened a satellite office in Deming an hour 1/2 from my home. I was past due for a general exam and cleaning.  I needed two crowns glued back as well. They where glued back my first appointment. So fast I thought; I was impressed. Eating was painfull though. When I reported that to the office they said that was normal and it would get better with time.

Well, after my second appointment, a filling doctor Ashida installed fell out after the second week. When I informed the office, NO appology or follow-up to fix to problem was scheduled. I had an apointment already scheduled so I thought we would take care of it then. But when I showed up for the following sheduled appointment, there was no one at the office. Keeping in mind arranging transportation for me is a big deal. When I called the main office in Las Cruses they said they had cancelations and closed the Deming office. This happened once again. Thanks it!

I have since been trying to get my dental records from the office sent to my new dental office. I get a different story each time why they cant.  I have given my phone number and email a number of times so that I can FAX back a release. Isnt there a law?  This dentist is not only incompentent and is surounded by a staff of clowns.

Because Medicare does not pay for dental!

Medicare doesn't cover most dental care, dental procedures, or supplies, like cleanings, fillings, tooth extractions, dentures, dental plates, or other dental devices. Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) will pay for certain dental services that you get when you're in a hospital. Part A can pay for if you need to have emergency or complicated dental procedures, even though the dental care isn't covered.
