Dr. Joseph Frey III The truth about Custody Evaluations in Columbia Richmond County Martinez Georgia

Here is what I know about both Dr. Joseph Frey and the situation that has evolved in the Augusta judicial circuit involving custody evaluation performed by this man.

The system was put in place to protect children and take work load off of the judges and guardian ad-litems. Until recently, Dr. Joseph Frey was the ONLY person in the area doing these custody evaluations and over time a very lucrative and high dollar enterprise has been created. This is a high volume profession where many (a huge amount) of cases have been handed over to Dr. Frey making it impossible for this man to do a thorough job even if he wanted to.

There have been several cases over the years involving molestation and physical child abuse where Dr. Frey overlooked evidence (probably in a hurry) and "messed the case up". There even been allegations of Frey misquoting people to bring about an ending based on fictional information. There have been several cases of overwhleming information ignored, and in some of these cases the guardians were forced to go against this evaluator behind the scenes to attempt to settle the case out of court in order to preserve this racket. Back in 1999, a family brought a case against Frey due to his wrecklessness in dealing with a case of molestation. I personally know of one case where Frey apologized for "screwing a case up".

Today, many guardians are hesitant to challenge Dr. Frey for different reasons. Some guardians have been lawyers who have other custody cases going on involving Frey's evaluations. Surely those guardians/lawyers would not want to anger Dr. Frey for fears it would potentially hurt their clients. Remember these people all work together on many cases and to the parent's trying to protect there children: you the parent are temporary and just passing through.

To all people interested: You think you are doing right and you know the facts and you are sure you will prevail... guess again. Dr. Joseph Frey and the custody evaluations are nothing more than a conveyor belt of people spending big dollars. The only person that really cares is you. It is a cold world out there and if at all possible avoid court and if that is not an option, resist the usual way custody evaluators are chosen. If you don't you could possibly be in big trouble because some people will do, say, alter, or manufacture anything. A change needs to be brought about because many children have been placed in danger due to wrecklessness. DO NOT go into one of these evaluations thinking this person is here to help and do the right thing. I repeat... DO NOT. Flat out disregard for right and children with total regard for money and preserving the racket in place is what is involved here. Do not forget it.
