Dr. Michael F. Kaveney - Northside Orthopaedic Center Off work six months with a PCL tear with a very good doctor then forced for a second opinion with Dr. Kaveney. He never seen my MRI nor notes from previous doctor. Carmel Indiana

I had an injury at work nearly six months ago. PCL tear, a high grade tear I might add. Built a very good relationship with my doctor. Very important to have. Was sent to physical therapy two to three times a week. Would not talk about surgery until one year of accident. Things were improving day to day with alot of bad days in between of pain, instability, locking of the knee, swelling, popping of the knee and the list goes on.
A nurse case manager of Genex gets involved six months into it. Suggests that I need a second opinion to further my condition along and to make sure that I am getting all the care possible that I need to get me back to work. If I did not know any better I think Dr. Michael Kaveney and the case manager had this all planned out long before I stepped foot in his office.

Dr. Micheal Kaveney never seen my MRI nor read any of the previous notes from the other doctor. He pulled and tugged for two seconds on my knee, was not very informative on the future of my condition. Had too much to say to the nurse case manager whom attends my appointments. I was hearing the two of them discuss my future. No surgery required, get her out of physical therapy, she should not have pain, she needs to get back to work. This decision was made all in ten minutes, no questions were asked to me by Dr. Kaveney.
I was told he is in the network for workmans comp. patients and that is his job to save these insurance companies money. I wonder if he gets commision if he successfully gets the patient back to work. That is how I was treated in that very short visit. Living one way for six months under the one doctors care then I see Dr. Michael Kaveney and my life changed for the worst in a matter of just a few seconds. My knee is still not right, I have a voice, I have pain. Dr. Michael Kaveney needs to be investigaited. Personally, I would not refer him to my worst enemy. He is ready to make a PPI.
