I had breast augmentation surgery with Dr. Pino in 2004. I flew to Costa Rica for the surgery. When I returned to the United States I e-mailed Dr. Pino with details and photos of my recovery which started to go bad after a week. I sent pictures and graphic descriptions of my breasts being red and starting to drain. He assured me that this was a normal part of the healing process. A week later I was hospitalized for w a week with a severe staph infection. I developed heart problems as a result of the infection. I was on antibiotics for months and had to have 3 reconstructive surgeries to correct the extensive scarring from the infection. I informed Dr. Pino of what happened and he made excuses for why he was not responsible. Avoid this doctor if you care about your health.

I had my breasts done with Dr. Pino in 2005. He was nothing but thorough with me during my surgery and also the 5 days I stayed in San Jose after my surgery. I'm sorry for what happened to you. I knew the risks I was taking by having my surgery done outside of the USA. I took my chances because I did extensive research prior to going and I knew the only way I could afford it was to do it in another country. I knew I was taking a risk because things can go wrong after surgery. These are the chances we take when going out of the country. I had a great experience with him.

The Dr. and his staff were very profesional and answered all my questions prior to surgery as well as any questions after the surgery. He's very qualified and well know in Costa Rica as well as in the U.S. The cost of the surgery was almost half of the lowest price I got here in the U.S. and I have to say that my breasts came out great! Sorry to hear about your problems. Here's another suggestion. Avoid going to some third world country to get cut rate, discount surgery. IF something should happen, you have no recourse through our legal system, to make them pay, for what they might have done.
