I ordered a specialty pillow from a Sunday Newspaper insert that my wife wanted.  I put down all the information they wanted (name, address, product I was ordering, shipping, phone number in case of a problem) on a sheet of paper, included a check for the total amount, and made sure all was in order before I sent the order.

They sent a letter about a week and a half later, claiming that I had only sent $2.00 for shipping, even though I had sent the total amount of $14.97.  I sent back a letter, stating that I HAD sent the correct amount, but they never sent anything back.  So I sent another letter, this time by fax, to the number on the flier.  I again received no reply, or even an acknowledgement that they had received the complaint.

So yesterday, I called their order number and asked if I sent them a check for the total amount of an order, would they send me the product.  The lady on the end of the line stated "Yes".  So I raised my voice and said "Then why haven't you sent the pillow I ordered?"  She asked why was I screaming at her, so using the same loud voice I said "because you haven't sent me my pillow." It was evident she had signaled someone in the background, and she asked for the date of the order.

In a normal voice I stated what day the check had cleared my bank, and the amount, the date they sent the letter and what the letter had said that they sent me.  Evidently they photocopy the checks they receive, because in about 10 minutes, they found the copy and acknowledged that a mistake was made, and that they would send the pillow.  I hope it comes, but they will NEVER have my business again.  It should not take three months to get a product in the mail, and complaints should be acted on quickly. If they could find the problem so quickly when I hollered on the phone, they can find it with a complaint letter.
