DRIVE FINANCIAL CLAIMS TO HELP THOSE WITH CHALLENGED CREDIT BUT DEALING WITH THEM IS THE CHALLENGE. I HAVE HAD A DRIVE REPRESENTATIVE CALL ME THE DAY BEFORE MY PAYMENT WAS DUE. NO JOKE!!

I TOLD THEM TO AT LEAST BE RESPECTFUL ENUF TO WAIT UNTIL THE DUE DATE. I ASKED TO HAVE MY DUE DATE CHANGED AND THEY WAITED FOR FOUR MONTHS TO CHANGE IT. SO MY CAR WAS TOTALED OUT AND I ENDED UP OWING THEM MONEY FOR LATE CHARGES BECAUSE THEY CLAIMED THAT THEY THE PERSON TOOK SO LONG TO CHANGE MY DATE.

NOW I KNOW THOSE CALLS ARE MONITORED AND RECORDED SO WHY COULDNT THEY JUST REWIND THE TAPE? OH YEAH BECAUSE IT WOULDNT BENEFIT THEM!!!

I'M WITH WELLS FARGO NOW SO HOPEFULLY THEY ARE BETTER.

I agree with Rick

Finally someone with some understanding! Rick from Lafayette, NC knows what he is talking about.

As I have said in the consumer comments I've made on other complaints about DRIVE: talk to those who pay their bills on time, and see how happy they are with DRIVE. If you pay your bills on time, there would be no problem.

Have done business with this company for many years

As a business manager for a major automotive company i was take aback by the comments of some customers regarding Drive Financial. I have used them for many years to provide automotive financing for the hardest of the hard to place customers. Drive has been the lender of last resort for many customers who have been proven untrustworthy in the past.

The typical Drive customer is not someone who has a little slow credit. Or even someone with alot of slow credit. Typically, a Drive customer has had NO or very little positive credit in the past. Drive in the past has based their credit approvals on the ability to pay...i.e. debt to net income is good, job time is good etc,...not a proven willingness to pay a debt. I have actually been suprised at their willingness to approve certain customers.

It has been my experience that in the hundreds of loans i have had approved for my customers, that my typical customer has enjoyed their relationship with the company and has been grateful that someone has given them a chance to prove themselves. Usually this chance would be the LAST chance. I have daily contact with customers who are financed with Drive and except those that have gotten behind with the company in their payments, have heard NO negative comments about this company. I have however heard from those that have gotten 2 or more payments behind that the collectors are fairly aggresive, which is to be expected with the clint base that are dealing with.

It has also been my eperience dealing with this company that in our business relationship they have been truthful and upfront, something not always seen in dealer/lender relationships.

I guess in closing and upon futhur reflection, i am not so totally suprised that given the thousands of customers that Drive helps monthly, that a few would have a negative perception of the compnay and cant help but believe that the majority of these unsatisfied consumers where not doing as THEY has agreed to do when the loan was made.

Sincerely,
Rick S
