I bought a 5 yr/100,000 warranty with option gaskel/seal coverage for a used car.  Within 10 months the car needed a new engine due to an intake gasket blowing and allowing coolant to get into the oil.  This caused the lower bearings in the engine to fail, thus making the engine totally useless.  We took the car to the shop the same day we noticed a sluggishness and then horrible "pinging" sound.

Our shop called the warranty company fully expecting the engine to be covered as the gaskets were covered and that is what caused the engine to "blow-up".  The warranty company said they had to have an investigator come and look at the "point of failure" so my shop had to rip the car apart and leave it that way for over a week before someone showed up.  They said the engine would not be covered because "fluid contamination" was not covered and that is what caused the engine to die.

We pointed out that it clearly states in the warranty that if a non-covered part fails due to a covered part failing, the non-covered part shall then be covered.  Needless to say, many phone calls later, they still refused to pay anything.  So with a $2,207.00 bill, we are now filing a small claims court lawsuit against them.

Do not buy anything that even remotely says "Driverz Edge" in the title.  They seem to move periodically and change their name or administrator so they are harder to track.  Wish me luck.  I have huge  medical bills and this has only made my illness even worse.
