I went to DriveTime here in Houston Tx. In good faith to buy a used car. I wanted to get a car that I can pay for, thinking that DriveTime aka Ugly Duckling used car sales would give me a fair deal. Come to find out after doing my research I was cheated. The car they sold me was a 2011 Toyota Matrix base model car with no options but what’s standard on the base model Toyota Matrix comes with. The deal was, I pay $200 every two weeks and insurance cost which is full coverage coming from a dealership lein. Now to be perfectly honest, I felt the deal was bad but I really needed a car and I really had no other choice. I put $1000 down on the car and got it. I sign the contract and left with the car feeling like I was dupe after noticing the car has suspension issues. They gave me a background report on the car, saying it was clean no accidents, and it’s never been in a flood, but the car drove funny. There was other car out there but for the price and what I can afford DriveTime never really told me the actual value of the or the work that has been to the car. DriveTime offered a protection plan or some warranty plan, but it was very scatchy on what they fix or don’t fix.

After making the first four months of payments I notice the suspension getting worst and worst. This is only four months with the car. I tried to get the warranty to explain what I can do to fix the car and it only explains mostly internal parts or major engine issue that would happen and DriveTimes’ warranty wouldn’t cover suspension. Funny, how all used car, and major dealerships won’t pay for a cars suspension system to be fixed. They know that a suspension system can cost a lot and make the value of the car become more than its intent. So why did this happen to me again with the same company and why was I stupid enough to fall for this again? My credit, my score was at the time with DriveTime a 570, not enough to go to a new car dealership and get a good car. No, people like me have to go to places like this to get a good so called car.

Yes I am working to fix my life, and my credit, but why should I be subjected to being cheated in life because I have bad credit. Is it fair that I was treated like this again by the same company? The last car I bought from DriveTime under the name ugly duckling was a white 1991 Honda CRX, with over 120,000 on it with no credit and was cheated by the car breaking down on me. Ugly ducking aka DriveTime today didn’t want to work with me and sold the car as is. This was in 1998. Here I am today making another stupid mistake with the same company working under a different name.

You are not a victim of identity theft

An identity thief wouldn’t steal the identity of someone with bad credit. Your low credit rating is due to your poor payment history.

You are suffering from a case of buyer’s remorse.

I have, identity theft is my real reason I haven’t learn anything

Yes I have learn. I’ve learn that my identity has just been stolen under another dealership name and my SSN was used to buy a new from someone in California. Over twenty years I’ve trued to clean up my name not realizing every time I do, some a*****e out there is waiting for me to use my name again. I don’t want to keep extending money out to places like lifelock and other credit procreation agency out there and my name has been sold to someone trying to destroy my life. Even if I did get life lock in which I did but never found out any real information on who, so when I couldn’t afford to even pay for life lock I was lost in the credit system trying desperately to keep my name and my information safe, someone always finds me out. HOW? Yet and still, I still have to survive in this nation. Now I have to completely change my name to do away with whoever is watching me now. It’s sad we live in a country that people can access your information just because they want to ruin you. It begs the question of, "why me”, yet here you are holding me responsible for something I have little to no control over. I’m not that smart in life but smart enough to know when enough is enough.

Yes I’m tired of the problems with my life and credit, but I can’t give in or up over this. I have to fight and keep fighting until my name is cleared. DriveTime aka Ugly Duckling is not at fault totally, I mean honestly they see dumb people like me walking through there doors all the time, and yet what are people like my dumba** are suppose to do while trying so hard to make it in this backwards a*s nation? Yes I’m backwards but why should my country be backwards as well? You tell me that answer?

Haven't learned much have you?

Back in 1998 you needed to go to them because of bad/no credit, and now 20 years later you still have bad credit and are still stuck with these type of Sub-Prime dealers.

The price you paid is inconsequential and is nothing more than a case of buyer's remorse. They offered it for a certain price, you could have either accepted or declined the offer. You chose to accept it, even though you felt there were suspension issues.  There are many other "Sub-Prime" dealers that I am sure would have loved your business.

Perhaps you should concentrate a bit more on working on your credit to avoid places like this, so you don't have to deal with these places for another 20 years.
