Dear Mr Ray Fidel:

I'm not identifying myself because I'm not interested in being retaliated for the info herein provided. It is interesting that several weeks ago the below listed document was sent to the atenttion of Mr. Braddock who very kindly responded and to some extent inquired about the details provided to him previously through your HR Department. However, only a few were queried as to prevailing circumstances. Furthermore and nowadays and after getting the response the capricious abscences continue and the pressure for undesirable comments and negative management attitude is at its highest level ever. I am still here in this company and as other fellow employees Im concerned because of unfairness and injustices taking place. Jimmy Acevedo in the East Colonial store seem s to be the boss of Mark Vallejo and is constantly in his office. Speculations of employees vary from Vallejo being on the take with Acavedo being his provider.

Yesterday (10/20/2008), a fellow sales associate overheard a conversation between Mark Vallejo and Acevedo involving how they had used Jimmy's Acevedo brother, who works at a place named JD Byrider in an attempt to get another sales associatte fired from this company, and they actually did.

Regional Manager Cameron should have been more inquisitive and not allow them to induce him more so when the info is coming from a brother of another sales associate, ex-convict for heroin charges and user of heroin and cocaine.

As I had explained earlier, we were gathered to be told about the firing of one of the sales associates of the East Colonial store. We were not made privy to details and/or explanations other than what I have just stated. Again, another one of the non-members of the group gets retaliated because of reasons untold to us as employees.

The individual fired was a very professional and handled himself amongst all of the personnel of this office in a what we considered very distinguished and professional way. As you can see, the ways of management' behavior is prevalent and indicative of the stressful circumstances that are continuing to permeate the day to day affairs that we deal with. Herein with I am including a copy of the letter sent to Mr Braddock with some additional details that I consider very important to be handled and/or at least to be known by you in a more thorough fashion.

Absent minded behavior of Mr. vallejo just keeps diluting the essence of the goals of this company and practices like the conpiracy to fire a fellow employee makes you wonder what this people are capable of putting in place just for being greedy and poured by selffishness. We beg you for action if You think you can stop this, if not it has been a pleasure to hear your willingness to assist us in any way or manner available to you. This are serious charges and serious accusations where images and reputations are trying to be destroyed by abusive out of control people in positions of power within the company. I am confident that you will take action to stop this and remove the responsible ones from such a prestigious organization.

It is interesting to point you as to several situations recently taking place that are upsetting and affecting the morale and enthusiasm of the Orlando, East colonial, Highway 50 store. We have been told that this store is to be considered the flagship of all the stores in Central Florida however training and motivation is highly advisable for managing personnel dealing with customers, employees and general public as well.

We are having circumstances where employees (Managers) are using resources (Pick Ups) of the company for their own benefit, such as DT vehicles to do movings of employees. It is understandable that some members of the sales department need assistance due to physical impairments however their position has turned in to abusive and advantageously greedy ones. The managing staff, GM included, are providing resources of the company (Including Verified Leads) and affecting the enthusiasm when this employees show late during every single day of the week and others are required to be there on time. Please review clocking in times since during last week ending 10/04/2008 said employee showed late every single day. Monday 8:28 am, Tuesday (Bells) 9:30 am, Wednesday (Closing) 1:30 pm, Thursday 12:20 pm, Friday (Bells) 11:00 am, Saturday (Bells) 1:20 pm. Who is doing the clock in?

On other circumstances family members, (GM included personally and consented since he had pieces of furniture of the employee at his residence) of said employee are using the vehicles (Pick Ups) and gasoline to drive property and furniture out to new rented locations (apartments). That happened on last week and in plainsight of everybody working at said location.

Hardworking people looking to improve professionally and financially are demeaned, verbally abused and constantly made statements behind their backs by the GM and the participation of the allegedly physically impaired personnel and sales managers as well.

Mature and experienced members are degraded and derogatively referred to because of their ages and others in less advantageous positions are humilliated for no reason by members of our staff because of their native accents, both males and females. Young female applicants for employees, or with potential to become such, are clearly harrased or offered to be hired or re-hired just looking to gain other demeaning favors. Employees are observed taking pictures of female applicants for other non-DT related after hours affairs.

Active employees are asked by the GM when are they going to resign from DT since he wants to hire other employees, females primarily. On the other hand he has the alleged impaired all day long at his office when sales managers are taking care to update his lead tracker and to set up appointments for him without being at the store. Most of his deals are said to be closed primarily by the GM with outrageous number of red tags and sale sof vehicles conducted by sales managers when missing valid drivers licenses or insurance. Files and leads with customers names as well as information on customers is sent to other dealerships hand-carried by the girlfriend of one the sales associates. The list continues to a long way and extent. I will remain in contact with you if you so deemed appropriate

Personal business, selling lingerie (GM) and other business initiatives, are conducted from the DT computers during DT work hours. This are several things actually taking place and everybody considers this to be happening behing your back. You have always offered your assistance to solve anything that affects us and our morale in the workplace. I do firmly believe that this matters can be handled by you without any other higher-ups interventions. We seek your action, after investigating this affairs to be true and any response or need for additional info from this source can be directed to this e-mail.

I am also an employee and I have experience the same things listed in the reports. I have complained to corporate and my General Manager and manager have verbally treated me that I am not to ever do it again or my job is in jeopardy. I have had manager and other employees team up against me and also tell my Production manager that I am spreading rumors about my manager who is good friends with the production manager and gets special treatment.

At my location they also have people on the good list and bad list and I guess I do not suck up enough to be on the good list even though I have literally worked so hard that I have put blood sweat and tears into my job. I have been told to never go above my manager of Production manager. I have made complaints to my manager about people on the good list and nothing is done. I was accused of gossiping and saving things that I never said a year ago and they employee that said it resigned a week later.

Now there is a new employee in the position and my job is on the line again with no evidence against me except for the word of employees that are jealous because of my good work ethic and my record of never making a mistake with my paperwork (maybe 5-7 mistakes in a year and a half) I was told that I should manage the employees in my area and now the resent me for bringing attention to the multiple mistakes that they make each day along with them being on cell phones and surfing the internet. The worst thing is that I cant complain to corporate because I have already been told by my manager that I will lose my job if I do it again. 

My job has been treated for reporting problems in the work place when all I do is treat my coworkers with the up most respect. I am currently doing 2 jobs because I lay offs and have been doing them for over 6 months because I was verbally promised a $1.00-$2.00 raise for during 2 peoples jobs and also handling insurance repairs for several different locations. I got my raise recently and it was a 25 cent raise.

I can tell that my manager resents me and feels threatened by my hard work and commitment but there is NO reason that I should lose my job but everyday I feel like I will be fired when my Boss calls me to the office. I am always helping other people and I am a hard worker that would do anything for the people I work for as long as it is in my ethical standards. But now I will not complain about any unethical activity and unfair treatment because of fear for my job.

I tried to enroll in school and was told that I couldn't because they wouldn't let me off even if it was 2 hours after I should get off because it would not be fair, which I understood. Now a different girl that hasn't even be there half as long as I have gets the same days and hours off that I wanted off because she is divorce and I am not. Since I told them I was going to school to pursue a new career (which I told them I would be doing before I was even hired and they said it would be "no problem we will be more the happy to work something out with you so that you can pursue your education and the career.

Also drivetime is sexiest to no end except with some females that flirt and dress, well for a better work, slutty. that spend a lot of alone time with the decisions makers. Men are constantly promoted even though they didn't know how to do the job they were doing before they were promoted because they are fishing buddy s or hang out outside of work.  We are like a family here." Know that I have told them that I can get the job I always wanted once I find an open position (would take 6 months to a year to do) I have been called in the office 4 times for things that I supposedly did or said with no evidence against me. Yeah my drivetime location is a big family, a big back stabbing, gossiping, a** covering, abusive, favorable, and deceitful family with no love for its employees or there likelihoods. I cant wait to get a new job, well if i am not fired first.

When you said, "I'm not identifying myself because I'm not interested in being retaliated for the info herein provided", Your right, you have to be very careful what you say when working for Drivetime. They WILL USE it against you and find some odd reason to get rid of you.

When sending an email to Chris Baddock or calling him, trust when I say this, he doesn't take it too serious. If the person your complaining about is on the "Likeable" list within the idiots of regional, whatever you say regarding that person will not be handled as he inidicated in his email back to you. Come on, your talking about a man who was the biggest drug dealer in Apopka.

Your asking that they (regional managers) take action to stop what is going on within the work place, will not happen. First let me point out to you that the owner Mr. Garcia was on probation and convicted of Real Estate Fraud. He did 7 years probation for this conviction. So if he can't be trusted, what makes you think the idiots in regional can? As to the idiots holding the regional positions consist of people who either didn't graduate from high school or "kissed" the way to management. It is ALL in who you KNOW and NOT what you qualify for.

Lets start with Mark Vallejo - He is Chris Baddock's buddy. Mark runs and tells all. Regardless if it is the truth or not, he will only look out for himself and put himself on the spot light to gain brownie points.

As to the overall treatment from Drivetime - Well, you and I both know how this is done. You have managers in every department at every dealership. If the manager shows ruthless tactics, abuse and humility towards the "little people", they will succeed within the company, while the little people are threatened each and every day of either a write up or termination. No matter how much dedication you display to them and others, and the compassion you have for your job, will not be noticed.

I have to say, since I'm no longer working for this company I feel so much more relieved and STRESS free. I only feel sorry for the customers that are holding the loan with this company. My only regret while working there, was I wished I warned the customers what they were getting into before signing on the dotted line.
