DSL Extreme systematically steals their customers money. They organize their crime by setting up a system that makes it impossible to get the service that is agreed on in a contract, faking AT&T technician reports, and purposely giving false cancellation information. (This is in no way an exaggeration. I have evidence, e.g. original technician reports, phone calls, security camera footage of AT&T technician, confirming that the internet does not work and recording those findings in a report). Therefore they make it impossible to cancel a contract. Their process of cancellation takes several months and you have to do it in several different steps, that change every time that you talk to a "support" member. The goal is to push the client into the next contract term and renew the contract for another year. DSL Extreme's service never works. They book you into yearly contracts but do not provide any internet. Our internet doesn't work most days so we are using the internet from Starbucks and McDonalds next door. They charge $100 to send someone out to fix it. They have done that 3 times already, but weren't able to fix it. They also don't let us out of our contract and will charge us a $250 penalty if we cancel the service with them.
Terrible, terrible customer "support". Just a scam. They make money with $100 support tickets and cancellation fees. Also the average speed that I get if the internet works is about 1-2 Mbps.
THIS SCAM A NUTSHELL:
You sign a one year contract.
The internet doesn't work.
They charge you $100 to (not) fix it.
You pay a $250 penalty for "breaking" the contract.
