DUCKWORTH/ ESSEX SQUARE HORRIBLE Northport,AL

First I have contacted Warren(Manager @ Duckworth) several time and have not gotten a response so that shows the character of this community. I have left several voicemail and have not heard anything back. So Warren if you read this review PLEASE contact me via email. I currently live at Essex Square Apartment in Northport, Al. STUDENTS PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE OR ANY DUCKWORTH properties. THERE PROPERTIES ARE NOT STUDENT FRIENDLY. The new management is horrible. The new property manager is very deceitful and does not build good relationship with tenants. I would advise looking at other apartments and stay away from Essex Square.

I have lived at Essex Square for 3 years the first 2 years I had a great experience. I have also ways paid rent on time and never had any major issues. However, this last year has been horrible. The office staff does not appear to be student friendly and sends out very disrespectful letters on a weekly bases to their tenants. I've also gotten letter charging me for a late charge from 3 months before, to resolve the issue I had to take off work to provide them with a copy of the check that proves I paid my rent on time. It's hard to handle business with this office because they close at between 4:30pm and 5pm and refuses to stay any later. So, if your a student spare yourself the headache and find some where else to live. Simply because you do not have time to deal with having to chase people down.
