My daughter worked p/t a few months ago for this gym as front desk associate. After a few weeks of employment she was approached by the owners Joe and Maryanne Donzi with a business proposition. She was to help them in their side business of selling ILLEGAL STEROIDS to young kids that attended their gym. Apparently, they had been selling these drugs for a long time without any problems and they pointed out that she would be rewarded with a strong $$$$ commission on every purchase.

My daughter freaked out and told them that she didn't want to be part of anything illegal. The owners continued to pressure her to the point they threatened with firing her from the job. My daughter did not back off. Things got shoddier for her. Maryanne Donzi fired her without reason and told her that if she would contact anyone about their shady practices she would be in serious trouble. She claimed to have powerful friends including police officers that could make my daughter's life a living hell. That is EXACTLY what happened.

Within a few days after she was fired an off duty police officer visited her at her new job and told her to keep her mouth shut. I went with all this information to the North Bergen police Department and the detectives told me that I had insufficient evidence and that my daughter's word was not enough. I had to send my daughter away with a family member fearing that something really bad could happen to her or her sisters.

In the meantime dumbbells health and fitness continue infecting our neighborhood with drugs and nobody cares. I tried to contact other law enforcement agencies and I'm still waiting for a response. I just hope that the law enforcement community is not going to wait until somebody gets hurt to act up on these crooks.
