I am actively seeking work and thought I would check out Dynamics
International. I received a call Wednesday October 3, 2001 and talked with woman named Galadrial who I thought was an HR recruiter at Dynamics International.

She called me and explained that Dynamics International is a brokerage firm and that there were many positions available. I was told that their focus is in the healthcare and fitness industries. She was impressed with my background and asked me to show up for a meeting at 12:50.

As it turns out, I was misled into a meeting this afternoon believing it was for various positions available at Dynamics International in Palatine, IL located at the Harris Bank Building off Northwest Highway. To my dismay, I ended up in an hour and a half meeting heavily focused on a sales pitch to persuade me to invest in their materials, a trip to Kansas City and a (next day) Saturday conference for $250. I was treated rudely and never even met with Galadrial. The aspect of this job search experience that upsets me most is the fact that I was told that the company was Dynamics International when in actuality I found out that the company is Trek Alliance. ...Then to discover complaints about this company on Rip-off report.com.

I also fell into one of these meetings when I was fresh out of college. At the time, the company was Equinox with a meeting
location in Dallas. In that case I lost a lot more time. I drove an hour and a half in the middle of a blazing Texas summer to find out that the position was not focused on marketing but focused on sales requiring investments.

For some sales oriented people, this type of sales pitch may be acceptable but I do not appreciate being misled and I will not work for a company utilizing such recruitment approaches. Is there any way we can put an end to this type of company misrepresentation for job seekers (especially college
graduates who are more vulnerable in what is like a party atmosphere)? I feel this job lead was such a waste of my time and I will never respond to blind job leads or phone calls without researching the company on the Internet or at the library.

I am not a victim of this company - luckily. I found this report before following up on a phone call from them.

As a stay-at-home mom who has been concerned about the lack of cashflow since I stopped working, I was intrigued by a phone call by someone who was offering part time work in my town for a person with my credentials. Since recruiters do often get names by referrals, so that it's not unusual for me to be contacted by bona fide recruiters, I wasn't very skeptical of her call to me.

As luck would have it, I didn't have time to speak to her when she called, or when she called back later in the day. She was pushing hard for a meeting, though I insisted I needed more info over the phone first, since I wasn't even sure I was ready to go back to work. Then, thankfully, I did a search on the internet for Dynamics International in Palatine. Bingo! The only link that matched was to this website.

The solution to avoid getting ripped off in the future - do your homework! Research any job lead you find. Definitely research anyone that contacts you out of the blue for any reason. And get caller ID so you know who calls you, and can figure out who they are and what they do.

Although I believe that I would never have been roped in by a sales pitch when I thought I was going for a real job interview, I now know that I won't have to worry about it. I saved myself some wasted time at the very least.

Thanks so much to RipoffReport.com for providing this forum for people like myself to get information that can protect them from schemes such as these!

I too went to one of these so called interviews and ..It's all about luring people in to the company

They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report:

Their email: tonitz@iwon.com

Their name: Anthony

Their relationship to the company: Consumer Suggestion

Rebuttal:

Trek-Alliance is all about the MIND-F* K !!! I too went to one of these so called interviews and was convinced to buy not only the starter kit, but I was also encouraged to buy a sampler pack of all the items Trek had to offer for $1000. They told me that in order for me to be a good seller, I had to be passionate about what I was selling, and to try all the items out, and maybe sell a few(the water filtration products).

Looking back on what I've learned through all these training courses(including a $350 trip to Minneapolis) I feel like I should have a PhD in psychology. All the training that I recieved was on how to be deceptive .

They teach you everything from body language, to putting employees in the seats at these interviews to act interested and nod their heads.

They make you feel guilty if you don't exhaust every single resource you have to put into the company. And when they get all that you have, then they move onto your friends and family, who they have you recruit.

It's all about luring people in to the company. They tell you, act brand new, like it's your first day. Act excited, but give no details about the company to prospects. Let these prospects come into the office for an 'interview' where the experts(these would be the smooth talkers) would convince them to join. They tell you to always act excited, no matter how bad you are doing in the business. They are very deceptive about their products, too!

People get up and give these bullshit testimonials about products. Half of them lie, and half of them are so caught up in the system that they make themselves believe that they have these stories about their product.

For example, they market a product called microbiotic complex, a liquid supplement. This complex can make absolutely no valid health claims, but I've heard it called the cure for a hangover. Too bad just the taste of the stuff makes me want to puke! Nobody really sells these products.

They make their money off of people buying these bronze, silver, and gold packs of merchandise. They will spend 40 hrs a week telling you how to recruit but not 1 hr telling you how to sell these products. So in order for you to make your money back, you must convince 3 people to join and buy inventory just like you did. Have them lose out on thousands of dollars.

And then think about how these 3 people could be your best friend, your brother, and your mom. This could be you!
