I am writing to confirm a report from a previous member about the e-club marketing ripoff artists!

I ordered Dish Network after receiving a flyer in the mail. At the time I didn't know the flyer was from e-club marketing. Right off the bat the whole thing seemed shady: the person taking my order automatically signed me up for the most expensive package against my knowledge, when I had made clear which less-expensive programming package I wanted. On the day of installation I tried to contact the installer to let him know I was running an hour behind schedule, but no one at Dish Network would tell me who was going to install my equipment that afternoon!! When the installer came, he had an incorrect work order, so I only received half my system. He explained to me that the order came in from a marketing company, and that he has heard a lot of similar complaints from customers about that particular marketing company. He suggested I call DISH to complain about them, which I did, but of course that went nowhere.

I had to wait 2 weeks for the other half of my order, and after waiting around all day I got a phone call from someone mumbling like he just woke up, telling me the installer got into a car accident and wouldn't be able to show up. I had to wait another 2 weeks for the rest of my order!

This week I noticed a debit charge for $19.05 on my bank statement that I didn't make, from e-club marketing. I immediately went to the bank to dispute the charge, and I am fortunate they credited my account, and issued me a new debit card to prevent further unauthorized use. I went home to look over my previous statements and found an identical charge in December, around the time that I ordered Dish Network. So I put 2 & 2 together, and realized that this must be the marketing company who I ordered DISH from.

I am sooo glad to be able to voice my complaint here and warn others. Shame on DISH Network for allowing their customers to be taken advantage of, after they supposedly have received numerous complaints! And of course shame on e-club marketing for stealing money! How are they still in business??? Spread the word: stick with cable! And keep a close watch on your bank account.
