You're right, it does say not to sign your name.  E Commerce Exchange has many offices, agreed.  The original office in Irvine was sold.  This isn't the office in the complaint.  The complaint is referring to the office in Lake Forest and mentions my name, so I'm referring to this office, which did move locations years after I worked there, but still has the same owners and many of the same employees as when I worked there, and is the same office I posted the link for the BBB.  Not every office has a good rating with them, this one does, this one has the same owners, many of the same employees, and I never did bad business.  It's a simple rebuttal of the allegations that have my name on them, not the other offices.  This is the only office I have any experience in.

Thanks for your info, though.  You do seem well informed, but it doesn't appear to be about the same office in question.

They actually were bought out by another company and laid off most of their employees. Just because you open up a "satellite" office does not make you the original company that screwed many people out of their money. If you really don't believe this then maybe you should start looking for positive comments online about the business practices of ECX (and I mean real ones... not the fake ones made up to paste on their homepage!) Google it, I promise you are not likely to find many.

Also in order for the BBB to work, customers who are happy AND unhappy have to report ECX... sadly most of the unhappy ones didnt feel the need to waste anymore of their time or energy on this sad excuse for a business. I know this because unlike you (I assume) I still have contact with some of the customers I had worked with previously and they felt it was a lost cause; so much for the A+ rating.

FYI, I left ECX for a much better opportunity before the layoffs happened. I have a wonderful career that I enjoy very much and actually helps people instead of hurting them. The reason I have not posted my name is because I can read the instructions on how to post to this forum. Can you?

Seems to me that you're a disgruntled ex employee, who doesn't even post their name, who things didn't work out for.  Many of the staff, that wasn't sales staff, is still there.  I haven't been for years, but know them and that they practice good business, which is vouched for by their A+ rating on the better business bureau.

OK Eric I know this is a little late but I just came across your post about working hard at having your own business. What a bunch of crap. ECX sales screwed people out of their money, time, and sanity on a daily basis without doing no more than pushing a button to activate their headset. I am a former employee (not sales thank goodness) and witnessed first hand the unfair and shall I say slimy business practices that went on there. They even managed to con quite a few eldery people who couldnt even turn on a computer in to buying their own "custom" website. PLEASE! Maybe this is why you went out of business.

Hi Kurt, and anyone else reading this.

First off, I am sincerely sorry your business didn't turn out like you hoped it would.

Most people hope to get something for nothing. To start a business, that makes it, takes a lot of hard work. Most businesses don't expect to see a profit till year three. If you do research on purchasing a business, most cost much more than what you bought from E-Commerce Exchange. To make a profit and only spend $89 a month is fantastic. However, it does take a lot of hard work. You could start just about any business and make it profitable. Heck, you could sell pens, or pencils, you would just have to market properly. You could network to schools, or trade shows. I know someone who does this and makes several thousand dollars a month. Heck, I have a friend who simply sends around a printed catolog for his business, to his coworkers and they fill out order forms.

My point is simply you have to have realistic goals about business and what it takes to make it successful. The people that make it in business wont let a few failures decide if their business makes it. I personally make my goals, make a plan on how to acheive my goals and then work my plan. If I find out that my plan isn't working, I simply revise and revise until it does.

You signed up for what you bought. No one forced you to sign up for anything. You signed up all on your own, after reading all documents, and sent them back to us.

There are many many successful people with our business oportunities. Many made money right away, but they worked very hard at it and didn't give up when things didn't work.

Lastly.... I honestly wish you success. You have a great opportunity in front of you. You have a great website with products to sell. Don't let failure or anything else determine your success. I say, for everyone, you absolutely can have what ever success you want and have no one to blame but yourself if you don't get there.
