I ordered a game from EA store, and there is no digital download. I tried to contact them. I clicked customer support, and all website takes me is to help page. There is no phone number, no email, nothing. I've wasted about $90.00 on software that I can't download because it is not on my account. Stay away.

Sims Problems

AUTHOR: L. - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, November 24, 2012

I'm actually having similar issues with EA customer support. I had a horrible time a few nights ago attempting to purchase some expansion packs for Sims 3. I ended up buying three of them (digital download), and had issues registering them (the problem I was having is actually a two year old issue-as seen on the forums-that is STILL unresolved!) and locating the supposed included free items. After hours of fighting with their site and getting pretty creative, it finally caught up and started working, but then had some other issues with billing. I tried SEVERAL times to raise someone on their live chat service, but Joji, no one ever came after an hour, even though the window stated that my wait was less than five minutes.

I then submitted a ticket, and that still hasn't been answered. Now that I'm cruising the RoR, I'm seeing that I'm certainly NOT the only customer who has experienced a similar problem getting someone ANYONE from customer service to respond to me. It's certainly not as simple as you're making it sound anyway, Joji. What's so funny is that I own a few other EA games, and I saw two other open tickets of mine from MONTHS ago when I logged onto the help site! I had forgotten they were even there! Probably because I simply STOPPED PLAYING said game when I couldn't get a response. They never got answered, and I never received any emails answering my questions either.

So I tried to look up a phone number on a search engine and discovered that even though there ARE phone numbers, getting someone to actually get on the phone with you is almost impossible then too!!!! Wtf?????????? Do any actual PEOPLE work at EA? Or is being run by machines at this point?!?

This isn't even to mention that the Sims 3 site is way overly complicated and every time you switch sites, from EA to Sims to Origin you have to log in again and again and again. It gets OLD! I mean, I've been gaming online for about seven years, and I'm pretty well versed at navigating these types of websites, I'm familiar with the terminology, and I understand how to download and install software very well...but they make it way too difficult for something that should take all of five minutes.

What a crappy company!!!! I can't believe that such a huge name in gaming is so completely irresponsible and lax in their promise to customers! I know I'll never buy another of their products, and I'd like to see a boycott until they can get their stuff together and start servicing those who have spent their hard earned money on these titles...maybe even a class action suit.

I have a report of my own incoming here in a few days when I have time to write it out, even though some of the complaints on here make me feel like lack of customer service is small potatoes. At least they didn't straight up STEAL from me as I'm hearing they have with some others. Geez. You think you'd be safe purchasing from a big name company like EA...just goes to show that isn't always the case.

You ordered a game. What's the game's name? Where are the additional details? After ordering a game, assume it comes with a product code. You activate your product code through the Origin client and the game appears. Last time I remember, there should be an option to do a live chat with customer service. Go take a closer look and see if you can resolve the issue.
