 my rental check was returned and when I called then property manager she said we had paid our rent. I said we had not she insisted  we are paid and clear . I made sure she knew i did not want 2 weeks to go by and then she says we need to pay our rent due to some clerical error and she said that would not happen. Weeks went by and i seen they tried to cash our check and I received an insuficent funds fee from my bank. I called and she said it was a mistake our rent is paid and not to worry. Two weeks after that rent is due again, and she calls me telling me that we need to pay this months and last months rent. I say oh my gosh I called you about this. She says that when i had called rent was paid but now it isnt and she needs 2 months rent right now or she is going to evict us. My husband just got laid off and we have a 6 year old girl. We had never once, not in the year and a half we have been here been late in paying rent. I brought this to her attention when I saw our rent check had been returned. I am not trying to get out of paying my rent. When I asked the property manager to work with us on the last , months rent, that we thought had been paid, because she told us it was, she said no, she would not work with us, she would not accept any payment plans ecept both months rent right now. We dont have 2000 dollars laying around. We have never been late, the mistake was obviously hers. We called her to make sure we were doing everything right. This is wrong. We are good people, we pay on time, this is very wrong.
