USPS Tracking System Fails
AUTHOR: MsJoy - (USA)
SUBMITTED: Friday, April 24, 2015
I realize this is a super old post, but let me assure anyone reading this, USPS does frequently fail to load delivery status tracking information. As an eBay seller it happens all the time. I generate a shipping label with tracking, it appends to the sales record for the customer. A recent sale of mine took 8 days for one of the USPS data machines to finally log it into their system. Basically, the buyer thought I was bullshitting them that I had mailed the package. As a seller, it's incredibly frustrating and there's nothing we can do about it.
The person writing this post never got back to confirm the package was delivered (which I suspect it was). This platform, Rip Off Report is unfair that way. Just lots of bad information and venting from who-knows-who, and the info isn't necessarily true, complete or accurate. And it's unfortunate that ROR doens't post the date of each addition to the thread. If the date of each post were added, it would help better understand how long this was in the works.
Anyway, I hope this helps clarify the issue with USPS tracking.
