This company does not pay their employees as promised in the job offer letter. Everyone starts as a "contractor" but no forms are signed and paychecks are delayed and then unpaid for weeks. I resigned Easyfoodnow and was not compensated three weeks worth of low paying wages.
They hire people under vague titles like "Sales Rep" or "Tech" and then hand you 60 hours a week worth of work mostly on your own time unpaid at home, on weekends and in the small filthy two bedroom apartment they call their office.
Their customers are Chicago restaurants, and on a daily basis the customers are unhappy with the products which include POS software, telephones that don't work and are too pricy, and confusing overpriced used equipment.
The owner Patrick Cummings is a flat out liar and a scam artist. He is harassing to his employees, makes daily references to drugs, yells at his employees, and brags about all the properties he owns, and how much money he has. Yet, he does not have money to pay basic wages, and yells at them if they have questions about projects.
Patrick makes jokes about employees physical appearance, and showers in the office/apartment making gross rude comments all day long blaming everyone but himself for his failed business.
Avoid easyfoodnow.com at all costs.

The person writing the complaint was unhappy employee at his last jobs also. He asked our company to give him a change as a sales person. In his last job he worked for a medical company and sold $12,000 for the company and made supposedly $40,000 per year. He uses the guilt factor using his wife and kid and makes excuses all day about getting projects done. We gave him a chance because we tried to help an unemployed family man.
He does not have sales skills so we tried him in the tech department on minor projects all of which he failed in. In his last job he did not even sell to his salary. He sold 28k below what he was paid.
In our interview we told him he could not work as a sales person, because in his last position he did not sell enough to even pay 1/3 of his salary. He goes into companies and thinks he can blend into the wood work. At our company everyone must be smart and a contributor. We give everyone a chance. He did not try nor had the skills (minor tech skills).
He called begging for any opportunity to work for our company. After begging us to help his family he was brought on for small technical work. The work was being done by three summer freshman in college interns and they were doing a great job. We did not formally trained them (we trained them on the phone basically). Each college student finished the projects in a timely manner and was paid immediately. Most of the students made around $2000.00 per month working part time. We tried to train this contractor for three weeks in person and he never got the concept. Basically data entry.
He came to work the first day and did not have a working computer. He was given, confidential company material on a USB drives and forgot the drive the first day and other materials about every day past that.
In other days he forgot his own computer. He even took the company computer home and when questioned about the computer he blamed the only minority in the office at the time. He seemed racist and later in the relationship even showed people in the company his pagan tattoos we did not notice in the interview.
When we asked him about his tattoos, he stated he at one time was into alternative worship.
When asked to provide a drivers license for insurance to use the company Vehicle. The contractor informed personnel that he did not have a license and he had so many tickets and no money to pay for the tickets.
He asked the president of the company for to lend him the money to pay for his tickets. When ask to take a bus to customer visits to do an install in the 4th week. He did not have a bus pass either. His wife would drop him off at 9:00 am and pick his up @ 5:00 pm. He had no way to install projects or help customers. Most of us work outside the office and he had no way to leave the office to assist customers.
Projects: He has given two small projects which non-technical English major was given previous projects and completed them is a timely and proficient manner. The software is written in basically 8th grade ready level. He not only never completed a project his broke the program and erased files several times and others in the company had to constantly fix his work.
He claimed he worked in technical support for 6 years. When questioned about problems and needing extra help he said he understood how to complete a project. One project was to fix the company laptop he broke and he could not. He broke his own lap and three customer computers.
He one time spent an entire afternoon trying to make a computer print and did not know he put the paper in upside down (it only prints on one side). He spent the entire afternoon and most of a morning before he came to anyone for help. The computer vendor eventually walked him through turning the paper right side up (really the only way it can fix properly in the computer).
Training vendors complained constantly about his lack of knowledge. He was sitting in training and did not know how to cut and paste. The vendor called and asked if we have anyone else they could train besides him.
Other vendors called and told us if they had to train him again we would have to pay them. We paid one vendor $120.00 for two hours of training on material they went over 5 times with this contractor. No other employee ever needed this extensive of training. We had videos and we believe he never watched them or could not understand the material.
After the training he built the system opposite of what was instructed. Thank God he finally quit after not delivering one project on time. I still feel sorry for this person. He spent an enormous amount of time in the bathroom and was sweating all the time even though the temp in the office was under 70. We believe he might have a substance issue. I was ready to confront him on it, but he quit before then.
We made a mistake of giving this person a chance we thought he was a good family man who fell on hard times. Nothing was true about his past. He said he had a new car, but no way to drive. He said he could take a bus, but no bus pass. He mentioned we have a dirty office. We had a house keeper in once a week. His area was always a mess and the cleaning people could not work in his area.
It is unfortunate when you try to help someone and give them a chance. I use to try to help the near homeless and it always has backfired. My regular employees are happy and well paid.
My customers save a tremendous amount of money doing business with us and are happy. We strive to get our customers a great return on investment. We also like to give under employed a chance to get ahead, it is hard times and we want to help hardworking people. We thought he was one of them we were wrong.
In the dirty office he lied about. We provide two custom meals a day to enjoy together as a team and invite customer to join us for meals. We love the food business and work hard to help customers out. We sometimes make mistakes inviting poor performers into our business family. Most everything this challenged person said is untrue, except for the shower in the office.
I ride my bike 20 miles in the morning and need a shower. Otherwise there would be customer complaint and employee complaints. It is common to have a shower in a urban office for bike commuters. I have never worked in a Chicago office that does not have one.
Please ignore this persons complaint and call us we are always willing to take anyone to a customer site to see our work we work very hard. This person was paid, when he left with company material and unfinished project (Other team members finished after he left). We pay for finished projects and he took projects with him. So he was never paid he eventually just never came back. The projects he did leave had to be tossed out and re done mostly by college interns. If you are a contractor and leave a project, you simply do not get paid. We are a contractor and we always deliver what we promise and then we get paid. He left and did not finish the contractor and then made up lies because he was not happy. Everyone in the office is now happy and the important thing the customer whose projects he worked on is now happy too.
