Clicked on "Come Work OnLine using eBay" offer advertised at $4.95 for shipping and handling. This took me to a Visual Web Tools web site offering a free eAuction Tutor Toolkit. After filling in personal details it took you to another page requesting $7.95 for S & H for the eAuction Toolkit. My account was debited the $7.95 but no product was ever received. To make matters worse, 2 weeks later a further $49.90 was taken from my account.

I tried to investigate why this would have happened because there was nothing obvious on their web site and I did not believe that I had agreed to any other charges than to the S & H on the eAuction Tutor Toolkit. I checked their web page again and if you look hard in the bottom right hand corner of the page there is some small blue print saying, "Terms and Conditions of this web site", and if you click on this it opens up another page that says that they have the right to transfer your billing to a third party Merchant of Record and that you may cancel by writing to 180 South 300 West Suite 400, Salt Lake City UT 84101 or calling 1-800-497-4988. Before finding this very obscure link, I did not know who I was dealing with or why I received more charges.

The company involved seems to be Pacific Webworks. I find their methods and web site very deceptive and it appears that the supposed free eAuction Tutor is a ruse to get your credit card details to charge you a monthly fee of $49.90 but this is not obvious on their web site. I had written emails to support@pacificwebworks.com and support@bidfuel.com but did not receive a response from either of them. I rang 18004974988 advising that I wanted to cancel. Waiting to see if this worked. Disappointed with their underhanded obscure methods of getting $49.90 and not supplying the product that the $7.95 S & H was charged for, plus their misleading and deceptive website. Filed complaint with Bank and Credit Card authority.
