EBay Vehicle Purchase Protection,Invoice For EBay Motors Purchase Ebay-motors I GOT SCAMMED 2 TIMES IN 3 DAYS. Internet

I am a new person to the computer and I only used it because the trading post is no longer a paper but only a online site.

I was looking through the trading post and I saw a 2007 Kubota tractor, Model L3940HST, Serial number 3057. The only way to contact the seller Elizabeth Craig was to email her, as there was no phone number advertised. I contacted the seller via email and she said that she had just finished going through a divorce and settlement, and that she had got the tractor in the settlement but had no use for it as they were selling the property and she had moved to her mums in London. I told Elizabeth that we would like to purchuse the tractor, within 30seconds of agreeing and giving her our details a ebay motors purchuse invoice was emailed to me. 

Before transferring the money we tried to research the tractor, We contacted the trading post who said they could not give us any information, but if it is advertised on there site it should be fine.

 Then we proceded to try to phone Ebay, but there is no phone number, so we went on live chat, the person on live chat Ebay also reassured me that everything should be fine. So Itransfered the $10,000, thinking that I was safe and covered. As day went on I did'nt hear anything about the delivery of the tractor so I emailed  the seller and asked her about the delivery, she bluntly replied 'contact Ebay', so I contacted Ebay asking what was going on with the delivery, they replied 'everything should be fine and the seller will be transporting the tractor soon'.

 1 day later I went back on to live chat to see if they could help me , but got no results agian. Then all of a sudden after days of emailing and trying to find out what is going on with tractor the seller contacted me by email saying 'Contact Ebay as the money is blocked'. I can't ring ebay so I Emailed Ebay , They replyed 'The money is blocked contact your bank'. We then Contacted the bank by phone and the told us that the money can not be blocked at there end. 

So I got back on to the ebay live chat and the finally asked me a purchase number, I gave them the number and they told me, (after asking them for 11days), It was a scam, whilst emailing ebay the trading post investigater called and he informed me that he was now investigating the advertisement, 2-3hrs later the trading post investigater called me again and said " It is a scam, go straight to the bank and put a stop to the money transfer". So I rushed straight to that bank and it was to late , it was 11days after the transfer had taken place. When I got home I contacted the trading post only for them to tell me that they are sorry, but they are not to blame and for this to be a lesson for me. 

I contacted Ebay and they emailed that they are sorry, but they are not responsible as it was a fraudulant site with there trading name in it, and for me to contact my local police.

This has been a very expensive and scary experiance, I will never shop on sites like that again.

What happened to good old fashioned honesty????
