*Consumer Suggestion: scam
A guy pretending to be a college student was selling magazines through ECR inc (also known as Editor & Chief Reviews inc.) on Ohio States campus. I ordered and paid, followed up over the next few months. At first I was able to speak to someone on the phone, now if I call there is just a long wait and no on responds.
I ordered the subscription in May 2011, it is now November and I can not contact anyone. I've emailed, called, I've also looked up company info in other ways to hopefully contact someone.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
scam

I was also scammed by this company.
A girl came to my front door in July, told me she was doing a fundraiser for the local high school and the person with the highest sales would win a trip to Hawaii or something. I got a magazine from her for $63. She told me I could cancel at any time and they would send me a refund next-day-air. She never gave me a receipt though so I couldn't get that refund.
After trying to contact the company and getting no answer, I contacted the BBB. I told them what had happened, in detail, and to my surprise, the company agreed to send me a refund.
It took 2 months, but I finally received a check from them. It actually cleared too.
My suggestion to you is to contact the Better Business Bureau. ECR is not accredited, but it didn't matter... it helped in my situation. Good luck.
Also, google the company. Many people, if not most, don't even receive the magazines they order through these people. It's a major scam. Sorry it happened to you, too.
