I had 2 jobs while pregnant. I was a server and I worked at Edible Arrangements for Lauren Schmidt and her "manager" Kristen Slade. She runs 4 stores in the area. Hyde Park, Cincinnati Beechmont, Cincinnati Florence, KY Newport, KY I made it VERY clear that I took my availability off Mon - Wed at my serving job, so I could work here those days. She said okay and that it was perfectly fine. So, I worked 7 days a week for a couple months. I was SEVEN months pregnant at this point. There would even be days she would STILL schedule me on a day I was supposed to serve. So I would pull doubles and be in incredible amounts of pain. I finally got sick of it at 8 months pregnant and asked her "why am I scheduled these days that I work as a server??? I made it clear what days I could work with you " she acted completely confused and basically said she would give my hours to girls who wanted them (instead of simply taking me off the 2 or so days that my jobs overlapped) Keep in mind, these girls are all 15 to 18 years old. I NEEDED the money and the job for the last month. She completely took away ALL of my hours, took me off the scheduled, and has COMPLETELY ignored me since. The "manager", Kristen, kept telling me Lauren was out of town, so she'd have my last check at one of the locations. Well, went to pick it up today and it wasn't there. Guess what? Texted her and said it wasn't there, texted her THREE times and she completely ignored me too ;) I am less than a week away from my due date!!! I need MY money and I'm just being ignored by the "owner" and "manager" There was another time Lauren and I worked a morning shift together. On her break, she went to get a spray tan. She was scheduled to leave at whatever time. As she was leaving she said "oh and would you mind doing the dishes? I don't want to mess my spray tan up haha" I was infuriated. Please keep in mind, I am 8 months pregnant at that point. Not only does it kill a person's back to stand there bending over a sink, but the equipment here is very heavy! Huge cutting boards, cookie sheets and metal pieces and strainers. Needless to say, once again I was in a lot of pain thanks to her selfish personality. I would go home in tears some days. Besides those things. They make arrangements WELL over 24 hours in advance. Sometimes it could be close to 48 hours. THAT is why every one complains about MOLDY, rotten and mushy fruit. It's disgusting and I've never understood it. She hires lots of young kids, including family members. So they are NEVER held accountable for anything. They do not wear hair nets. There is much more i could say but this is enough. They are disgusting, heartless people who are only out for themselves. They don't deserve to run any of these businesses. Especially serving MOLDY rotten fruit. Thank you for reading
