ELLEN SCHILLACE and MARC SCHILLACE are brother and sister realtors who work at Edina Realty on Grand Ave in St. Paul.

My husband and I were recently in the process of becoming real estate investors and were approached by Marc Shillace at a local investor meeting. We dreamed of buying good real estate investments, continuing to work and learn and eventually retire usuing our real estate to support a reasonable lifestyle. This is not going to happen now but here is what to watch for....After talking for awhile, Marc suggested we schedule a time to meet with his sister, Ellen, because she was much more active "in the business". They seemed credible at first so we agreed to meet. Before parting they were very interested in our financial position....mainly how much cash we had access to. This seemed okay, afterall, they are a couple of realtors. 

We met about a week later. Marc was telling us about a cabin he is working on buying up north (lucky him, right?) and Ellen was extremely knowledgeable and smooth. Marc could not stop talking about his many years as a Property Manager and how much real estate he had owned.  Literally, Marc Schillace rambled on and on.  If he lacked credibility at first, he made up for it by wearing us down. They both came on strong and used the real estate language one would expect, including real estate and mortgage terms that we had heard of but were new to usuing ourselves. 

The bottom line is this....we left that meeting after giving Ellen and Marc Shillace a check for a large sum of money based on their empty promises and the fact that they kept pointing out they were Edina Realty Agents.

Now they will not return our calls, are rarely in the office, Edina Realty says it has nothing to do with them and we have LOST our money to a couple of FRAUDSTERS

BEWARE...MARC and ELLEN SCHILLACE of Edina Realty on Grand Ave are nothing more than Grifters. Becareful.
