My Check Book and other "important" things were stolen from me here at college. Various internet charges were placed on my account, mostly for internet downloads... like music sites. When I notified all of the companies of this FRAUD they immediately refunded my money. When I notified EDepitPay aka EDPreporting, they simply told me no. I spoke to several different, and all very rude, customer representitives. They all told me several different things. They would send me a form via email... It never came. I spoke to more rude represetnitives.... they would mail me a form, but before I could tell them my address they ended the conversation. I am 130 miles away from home at college! I needed that form sent to me! Well this whole mess has kept me away from $159.95 off my hard earned paycheck.. which only working not even 20 hours a week at minimum wage is the WHOLE thing! Being a college student, and trying to pay my bills is not easy.. especially when my accounts are frozen until they refund my money! This has been a nightmare for me. I have been arguing with this company for over a month! Finally, I went to my bank to file a dispute.... which of course will take another 3-4 weeks! And first of all why would anyone pay $160 for a debit card?.. and then put the charge on their debit/ checking card? Makes no sense to begin with considering most debit cards are free and some of them you get money for opening an account!!!!!!This company is ridiculous and the worst I have ever come across... I believe these charges are very fraudulant... The charge to my account was in a form of a check that was processed by another company. My bank told me that they would need my consent to aapprove the check via phone.... My phone number was on the check, but I never got a phone call to approve it!!! This company is outrageous and should be shut down!

I'M PLEASED TO KNOW THAT YOU BANK HAVE ISSUED YOU A REFUND, BUT ALL BANKS DON'T WORK THAT WHY.
THEY DON'T ALWAYS WORK WITH THE PUBLIC TO HELP THEM TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT EITHER. NEEDLESSLY TO SAY I WISH THEY DID WORK WITH THE PUBLIC. ONCE AGAIN I HAPPY YOU GOT YOUR MONEY BACK.

I filed a dispute with my bank and recieved a full refund for this horrible nightmare. I also filed a police report which has gotten nowhere... the police could care less about a stolen checkbook, around here they got bigger problems like murder cases. All in all.. I got the money refunded to me although it was a huge hassle. As for the EDPay customer service... it was more than unsatisfactory towards my needs but the representives were rude and not even knowledgable! I still believe that this is a complete ripoff company anyways... if someone cannot find a free checking account they are better off paying the small fee for one rather than $160 upfront cost and the hassle of horrible customer service when I problem does arise. If you are looking for a prepaid card or a debit card you should go to a local bank that will work with you!
