Eilid Moving & Storage and Online Moving & Storage took our furniture hostage

My daughter received a verbal quote from Online Moving & Storage of $1,200 to move her goods to WI. The day of the move, the movers packed & loaded her goods, at which time she discovered the movers were Eilid Moving & Storage and the price was increased to $8,900. The companies are located at 131-11 & 130-11 Atlantic Ave, Richmond Hill, NY. Both have the poorest rating by the Better Business Bureau. The option of unloading the goods meant paying for the packing, loading, unloading, and another month's rent amounting to thousands of dollars. So, the move went forward. Eilid was then 5 days late in delivery and damaged a tremendous amount of the goods.

We managed to conduct a sting operation on Eilid and my daughter was able to retrieve the last $4,000. Eilid violated so many laws and regulations that they were fined $1,408 before leaving the state.

I should like to hear from anyone else having problems with these companies.
