we bought a 2002 dodge ram 1500 quad cab truck from eldorado motors in tulsa. the first problem is we were never told this was a repo truck from thier dealership in oklahoma city. we would never had taken this truck.

second problem we had when you got the truck up to 55mph or faster, when you hit any type of bump in the road it would jerk hard to the right and you would had to over correct the truck to get back under control. told eldorado about the problem sent us to a repair shop.

was told it was the upper and lower balljoints needed replaced. the shop replaced them and the day i pick the truck up i didn't make a block and the radiator explode on me. took back and waited 4 days to get that fixed. pick up the truck again and got on the highway and the frontend problem was still there.and this time the steering box was showing signs of a problem too.

told eldorado again about the same problem and the steering box. they came and pick up the truck as i would not drive this dangerous truck like this. they sent it back to the same repair shop over our objections about taking it there again. was told that the nut they put in had worked itself loose. and they were putting a lock washer on it. still did not take care of the problem.

my wife got a good job offer in nevada, and we moved there on the way up the frontend got alot worse, as we were coming into nevada hit another bump in the road and the frontend did the same thing again. but this time the backend of the truck broke from the road and slid sideways.

we just missed a car going in the opposite direction and a trackor trailor was coming at us and slammed on his brakes and at the same time i hit the brake pedal and floor the gas pedal to get the truck out of the big rigs way. which caused us to turn a 160 degrees around.

the truck slid backsward and we struck a guardrail the truck came to a suddon stop, which cause a severe pain in my neck and lower back. all of this was reported to eldorado. we also ask from the start to get out of this dangerous truck. and was told we had wait 18 months to get out of this dangerous truck. we stopped making payments on this dangerous truck and they repo'ed it today. 7/12/2012 and believe me it took alot of stress off of us as we no longer have to drive this dangerous truck anymore.

after filing a complaint with the BBB in tulsa and oklahoma attorney generals office in oklahoma. eldorado motors in tulsa made us a offer to not charge us the repo fee and to drop the balance on the truck. i want to thank ripoff.com, BBB in tulsa and the okla. attorney generals office in olkahoma for all their help in getting us the problem solved in our matter with eldorado motors. we truly believe without the help of the above people we would have gotten the rule shift from eldorado. thank you all again

think about it!

as i said in my report, which reading from all your comments on here. i can only figure out one of two reasons. you can't understand the english language or you are somehow connected to eldorado motors. my report was self explanatory on how dangerous used vehicles are being sold right here in the u.s.

and people like you are so ignorant to this problem. that you would condon this practice so here is my question to you. if you did everything right in your mind about checking out a used vehicle  but you missed something or overlooked something. does this give the right to the dealership to sell you something this dangerous? i think not and if you disagree with me i feel sorry for your loved ones.

as i said this truck had to be driven from ok. city to tulsa, the driver had to notice this serious problem. why are you not questioning this fact.

"Gas and brake to the floor" simultaneously? Yeah...I think that might turn a vehicle around in a 160 degree total loss of control. This was to accomplish what?.

Should have been obvious to anyone...

If the truck had serious handling problems like you described. Who buy something for that much money and doesn't give it a good test drive? Why did you agree to pay so much more than it was worth, considering it's over ten years old? Sounds more like a case of buyer's regret than anything else.

why are you talking?

AUTHOR: dearold canady - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, July 12, 2012
yes there was a warrenty, yes this truck was test drove, also in my story i DID say you had to get on the highway to reach the speed i said. because alot of us are not street demons like it sounds you must be. so the frontend problem was seen or felt until after we already purchase the truck. i am not a child i use to work at a auto dealership a honest one. also they had to drive this truck from oklahoma city to tulsa. so why did the driver not report this same problem to them his/herself.

or did they and the dealer did not pass this on to us. do not try to defend them because you have no idea what you are talking about. (unless you work for them). two more things what impact does the not paying the payments have to do with joe everybody. in total we were to pay over $14,700.00 to pay this dangerous truck off. the going rate for this truck is only $5,000 to $6,000 so that said again not making the payments has got to do with the public? and last " how would you feel me being next to you and your family on the highway and i hit another bump in the road" think about genius.

Warranty or no?

AUTHOR: Guy - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, July 12, 2012

Used vehicles are sold either with or without a warrant. If the truck had a warranty they are bound to make a good faith effort to fix the problem. If there was no warranty, they are not bound to do anything, regardless of whether you think the truck is "dangerous". It is up to the buyer to spot these faults by test driving the vehicle before buying it. When it was obvious there was a suspension issue the vehicle should have been taken to a reputable shop for an inspection, or preferably to a Dodge dealer. If the place where you bought the vehicle does not appear to have qualified mechanics or the correct equipment you should insist on taking it to a shop or dealer that does. In spite of the fact that you had a bad experience, you do not have the right to stop making payments. All that does is ruin your credit, and make it that much harder for anyone else trying to buy a vehicle on credit. These costs are simply passed along to the rest of us.
