Hi Guys,

I did placed an order for a 60gb PS3 on this site and i spent almost an hour to log into my paypal account when I was about to check out.

At first, I got into BLUE BEAR TOYS paypal account from electrotoysdepot check out screen....so I figured - maybe its a sister-company per se.

Then I finally gave up into logging into paypal which triggered me to pay by entering my Debit Card.

The payment transaction went through okay with a confirmation number generated and an automatic email of how to track the order.

Generally, I am a smart buyer, who always checks the websites if it's legit, check up on customers feedbacks, way of payment and verisign etc. etc.
But because of my overwhelming impulse of buying a 60GB PS3 which Sony doesn't manufacture anymore - I thought there should be a store out there who would still sell them.

So I saw the website and placed an order on MARCH 4, 2008.

Considering the difficulty of payment through paypal I experienced, the sudden unexpected switch of store names through payment....i had my doubts but still went ahead and placed the order.

The next day, i checked online about the electrotoysdepot and there it is......COMPLAINTS POPPED OUT mentioning about people who did not get their orders. And I checked the website and found out that it is now under CONSTRUCTION.

I immediately checked my bank account and THANK GOD the money was still there and it didn't get me any quicker to transfer that money back to my savings.

It was in the nick of time that i was able to same meself $478.00.

Lessons:

1. It doesn't mean that because you see a paypal payment system the website is legit.

2.always check with websites like this if the store is again - legit.

3.check with customers feedback if they are really posted in sites and not just words displayed coming from the company (NO company shall say that they will steal from you, or say customers hate their guts).

4. Contacts are important (not just fax numbers and email addresses).
-CALL First and talk to someone and get a feel about the store.

5.VERISIGN logo in payment page can now easily be copied so BEWARE!

I am not a professional about these stuff but I thought that these lessons i've learned and come to notice will be beneficial to all of us.

I really hope to those people who got ripped off will get their money back and be brought justice unto them.

I was just lucky to have caught in on time.

Kind regards to ALL.
