Elevate Life Church in Frisco, Texas is Pastored by Pastors Keith and Sheila Craft. There is also a Pastor named Steve Minor, who says he is the Benevolence Minister. The Elevate Life Church will only help Members. We have been attending there for months. They will have you fill out a bunch of Forms and then lie to you. Pastor Steve Minor will tell you every reason why they can't help you, unless you are a member and have given a lot of Money to the Church. We called Pastors Keith and Sheila Craft. We wrote them. These "Christian" Pastors will not respond. This Church is all about money, money, and more money. They filled us with hope, and then even though we are joining the church, tell us, sorry.....Members Only! Did Jesus reject people if the were not members? This church and its pastors are the biggest fakes you will ever meet. Liars and Hypocrites! They DO NOT worship Jesus!!! They worship Money. [continued below]....
..... They just happen to use Jesus and Christianity to make a lot of money. Are you searching for a church home? If you are a liar, Hypocrite, worship money, and want to make Keith and Sheila richer, then this is your Church! Join today!!!! If you want a Church where money is not God, where Jesus is worshiped, All are welcome and helped, Even NON MEMBERS, and the Pastors will not lie to you, then Run. Elevate Life is a Prosperity Gospel Church.  The Pastors Keith and Sheila are too stuck up to call you or return a reply to your letter. Pastor Steve Minor will waste your time with exscuses about why they can't help you. He is a sarcastic, smart mouthed, fake "Christian"  who is as fake as his walk with God. Don't waste your time. If you have a lot of money to donate they will give you tons of attention. If you are an average person and not rich, you are just another sucker who they will not help in anyway and ask that you give what you have to the Church. This is why people can't stand Christians and Churches like Elevate Life in Frisco. Keith and Shelia Craft, as well as Steve Minor are scamming people using the Name of Jesus. Getting Rich in Jesus name! Avoid these people and this Church!!!!

Church only helping members

AUTHOR: Tyra - (USA)

I read your report and I totally understand how you feel. In 2008, My family was in dire need of some financial assistance and I went down to our local mission they gave me a list of a couple churches in the Arlington area that would help me. I went to The first one on the list, this isn't the same church you are reporting but I attended church there every Sunday. I came in and explain my situation to them and was turned away because I was not a member even though I attended church there every Sunday, I have not 'officially' taken the 'member' class... I was so angry and hurt that they would not help us, I felt the exact same way you did..but if a church handed out help to every person who came through their door help, then everybody would be coming there and I'm fortunately that includes people that take advantage of other people's generosity . I'm pretty sure that this church and the church that would not help me would help their own flock if they were in need... I stopped going to that church because I was so mad that they wouldn't help me but after a couple years I let it go and realize that they would not be able to help their own members if everyone just came in asking for a handout which is unfortunately what a lot of people do have to admit

Elevate Life Church

AUTHOR: Jake1 - (USA)

I'm a former member of Elevate Life Church. I don't understand how anyone can put down any church without first sitting down with the pastor and leaders to discuss any problems you may have. Understand I'm not benefitting from this post, or getting anything from no one. Whether you're a Christian or not, we as a people should be able to have a dialog between one another about any issue that we have with one another. I don't know Pastor Keith and Sheila Craft personally, but I do know they are wonderful people and would be happy to sit down and talk to anyone about what ever issues you have with Elevate Life Church, the preach word, membership, giving & how the church uses your giving . Anything you want to talk about they will do it. Please do not put down Elevate Life Church or any other church without sitting down and having a dialog with the pastors of those churches. Let's communicate first before we put down one another. That's what our mouths are for and our ears to listen to one another. Thank you for opportunity and for reading my rebuttal. Jake1

Wow....all the negativity

AUTHOR: Matt - (USA)

Church is no different than anything else. If you don't like it then don't go and change. This family has built this church from nothing. Pastor Keith has been doing this since the 80s. He gets paid in a number of different ways. What have you built would be my question to you? I am in banking and deal with Churches all the time needing funding for various things....I hate to break to all of you but it is a business. Just like your doctors office they have bills and they need to turn a profit. If they do a terrible job at managing the money they will no longer exist. When you grow to the size the ELC then certain perks such as salary come along with the job. What this church does for good around the world outweighs any bad. I never write on these but the harshness of the original post goes way overboard. If you don't like what is on your tv change the channel. I love this church and personally don't have a problem with any pastor making money. Money only seems to be evil when you don't have any. Give things a chance if you don't like it then find somewhere that makes you feel good. Don't hate people for growing what you couldn't. I am thankful for a church like this to exist. I love the energy and the vibe I get from everyone. People have to get past money. Every church on the planet needs it or they will not be there very long.

It is plain to see, as many others have, that this church is Out For The Money!  That pastor Keith is so egotistical that it just screams out to you.  He is about as much of a preacher as I am.  But he's found something he can do that is a money maker.  I understand he wanted to be a rock star and Failed Miserably at that.  His eyes look demonic.  Just my opinion.

love this church

AUTHOR: love my church - ()

I have been going to Elevate Life church for a little over 2 years. I love going here, and I am a less than rich person. My family has always been welcomed by Pastor Keith and Sheila, and everyone there. My family serves in the church, and they help us every Christmas and when school starts every year. I don't put in hundreds of dollars in the offering. I put in the little bit that I can when I can, and we are still loved there. The prayer team is amazing, and they have prayed many times for my family. We have seen such miracles happen with the prayer and connection at this church. I was unsure about them because it is such a big church, but they are come as you are church. Everyone is wonderful, and they have never made us feel like it is about money. They send so much off to help with missions, the homeless, and victims of natural disasters. Not sure when you were there, but I have never ever been made to feel like I need to give them my whole check or hundreds of dollars. My church is amazing and I am far far far from rich.

Elevate Life?

AUTHOR: BarterKing62 - ()

Your Bible, which Keith Craft will only rarely reference in his sermons, tells you clearly that this man and his wife are false teachers, just like the Osteens who endorse them. People simply aren't grounded in the Word. Satan is a master deceiver, and his lies are sweet in the ear. Give this a listen, it starts around the 1 hour mark of this 2 hour audio clip: This guy doing the commentary on the sermon goes a little overboard with the ridicule, but how can he help not to? I cracked up when Keith Craft said Mariachi Trench instead of the Marianas Trench, but that got a little old after an hour lol
Still, the conclusion is the same; Craft distorts what little scripture he uses. The whole thing about Joseph's brothers "crushing his dreams" weren't the same kind of dreams as in aspirations. Those were prophetic visions sent by God showing Joseph what was about to take place in his future, in much the same way as King Nebuchadnezzar had dreams which required Daniel to come in and interpret them.
Keith Craft comes off as a crazy person in my estimation. Seriously mentally deranged, and it has to be Satanic influence. Imagine, being able to seduce thousands of people like that? Only the enemy is capable of such large scale deceit. I feel like taking my Bible and setting up across the street from that abomination "cathedral" and spitting the truth of Jesus Christ.
Ironically enough, witches refer to their practices as "The Craft".
The Bible says in John 12:25 "He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal."
The Word of God trumps the lies of "Keith Craft. H
is message is completely counter to the Bible, and yes his clothing is laden with esoteric symbols he either doesn't understand or is purposely using. Like the iron cross logo used for the "ultimate warrior" nonsense. The church's logo seems pretty fitting: It looks like 4 serpent tongues spreading lies to the four directions of the compass. This man is arrogant, boastful, the focus of his church is on him and his wife, her plastic surgeries and their apparent wealth.
I was watching some video clip of his about being on sabbatical and he was running on and on about some ridiculous numerology sounding nonsense ( 7th day, 7th week, 7th month ) which is simply him rationalizing taking a nice vacation every July. Even worse, when he was trying to talk about it and just when he had mentioned scripture... suddenly he was distracted by sharks in the water off the coast of San Diego. (Pretty fitting if you ask me, it's quite possible God sent those sharks to symbolize who Keith Craft really is?)
There is no humility in this guy whatsoever, no love of Jesus coming off him that I can sense.

ELC Frisco from an 18 month non-member

AUTHOR: redhead2014 - ()

My girlfriend introduced me to ELC in late 2012 and I still attend there.  I am not an actual member and have donated very little because I can't afford to right now. I am seeking fellowship elsewhere in the meantime.  I continue to go mainly for my girlfriend and my daughter likes her class.

The issue I have with ELC is it's emphasis more on legacy building than serving the Lord.  This is Frisco and that keeping up with the Jones e's mentality has made into the churches here. I think the Craft ' s do have programs that help people and have a large presence as far as outreach but I fear he is trying to out do the Preston wood Baptist type mega churches here and more time is spent by him on the road getting his name out. That and his services are now on TBN. Plus his trips out of town for Corporate speaking and his book tours. He plays the humble man very convincingly but I fear these days it's more of an act. JMHO. This all make look like sour grapes but I truly hold no grudges against the Crafts or the church itself.

When is big too big?  When do you no longer become a face but just a number?  How much must you donate to get into the Pastor's good graces?  This church is a local version of Joel Osteen in my opinion and while being positive is great so is their ability to dodge any issue that might be controversial.  I'm old school and I believe sometimes being upfront and blunt is needed if you think your members might be headed down the wrong path.  At the end of the day it's all about personal choice and its not here for me. If you want a social club that does help people but avoids real life issues in favor of being PC, than this place is for you...Otherwise go some where else. Take this post for what you think it is worth and make your own decisions.   All the best and God Bless. ..

Who is the one greedy exactly?

AUTHOR: Crystal - ()

This church is amazing and so are the pastors! Sounds to me like the original poster is the one who is greedy and all about the money. Has it ever occurred to anyone that church finances are brought in by the people of the church? Yeah that's right everyday people who are faithful with their hard earned money. If the church gave out money to everyone coming in and asking for money no questions asked and no protocal they'd be broke in no time and then wouldn't be able to help anyone at all. The church has an obligation to help it's own members first that is straight up biblical. Second it does need to be careful about who they help. If someone is constantly asking for money to pay their bills there needs to be a process in place to help this person budget better not just keep giving them money every time they walk in and ask or rather in this case demand. The church has it's own bills to pay, electric bills, water bills, custodian pay, staff pay, etc. It simply can't hand out money to everybody who asks they also just like you and I work on a budget! So before you get angry and mad because a church didn't hand you a check for money when you asked for it maybe take a look at yourself and do a little soul searching as to why you feel entitled to money that is not yours in the first place? There are plenty of other charitable organizations who will hand out money to those in need after an assessment of the need has been completed, and if you get rejected for their financial assistance there is probably a good reason why. I know for a fact that this church is VERY generous to those who truly need help and have many initiatives that help those down on thier luck in the community.

A former ELC member weighs in

AUTHOR: James - ()

I was a member of Elevate Life for a little over two years. I left this past December, but not for any of the reasons stated by the original poster of the complaint. I did not live through his experience and would not even attempt to take anything away from what he said happened, Even if it is overblown or completely untrue, perception is reality to the one who holds the perception, so my intent is not to get the guy to change his mind, but rather to share my experiences with the church.

Though I never was a part of the "inner circle" mentioned in the original post, I did tithe regularly to the church and gave over and above when I could as I do now at my new church. I didn't have a close relationship with Pastor Keith, but he was never rude, arrogant, or stuck up in the dealings I did have with him, and neither was his wife Sheila.

I will both coroborate and debunk some things that the original poster said concerning the benevolence ministry. It is true that there is an application process akin to applying for a mortgage that everyone has to go through when seeking help form the church. There is also a, for lack of better way to say it, a financial anal exam that everyone applying for assistance has to go through. They want to make sure the people are not blowing all their money on beer and cigarettes I guess. A board then has the final say on how or if they can help. They have policies and may not always be able to help in the specific way you need help, but I have received help from them before as has my ex-fiance, and we are both extremely grateful for it.

I do have a bit of problem with the whole application process, and some of the policies and procedures and know people who have been turned down. And yes, it is true that one of the criteria is that you be a member of the church. Another is that you be a regular tither, and another is that you are serving a.k.a. volunteering in one of the church's ministries. They call this being "T-rated" meaning you're giving of your time, talent, and treasure. Which, by the way, is what God expects us to do.

I should also mention that during the time of job loss when I needed the assistance, a man in the church who I knew and was friends with, on his own and prompted by the Lord's leading gave me some cash to help get through. I did not share this with anyone, but someone must have seen the exchange because I am told he was reprimanded for it by a lay-leader after the fact. He was told that benevolence is only handled through the church and not one on one. Interesting since my Bible says God works through people, both as individuals and corporate bodies. I would say that Lord leading a man to do something takes precedence over and trumps any and every man made policy.

My main problem is, in the Bible, we never see Jesus, or even God in the Old Testament, making anyone go through an arduous application process or a financial anal exam in order to get the help they needed. They also were not expected to be followers of Christ (or church members) in order to the help they needed. Although many became followers because of the help they received.

A lot of people, including hte poster of this complaint, seem to have a problem with what they refer to as the "prosperity gospel." I am not a fan of that term because there is only one gospel, the gospel of Christ. The Bible is replete however with messages and instructions on how to prosperous and blessed by God. There are numerous scriptures that talk about how God delights in seeing HIs children prosper and wants to bless them. I would suggest the poster pick up a Bible and actually read up on this topic before going off on it like he did.

Is there a focus on giving at ELC? Yes. It is unhealthy or toxic? I wouldn't got that far. I have heard Pastor Keith preach many a message on giving and in those messages, he always taught  biblically sound principles that I guarantee a thousand other pastors of churches large and small have also taught. I have actually learned more about the importance and biblical focus placed on giving since leaving ELC than I did when I was there. It is more than a little disengenuous for the poster to say Pastor Keith is greedy and only interested in your money, when I have heard him time and time and time again say that he doesn't need the money and God doesn't need the money. We give as an act of worship to God out of a heart of obedience to His Word. If the poster has a problem with this, his problem is not with Keith Craft, it is with God.

I will say this though....I do not agree with, nor do I find anywhere in scripture, the practice of ascribing ranks and titles to those who give certain amounts over and above their normal tithe. I forget what they all are, but I do remember that highest level or rank they have at ELC is that of "Kingdom Builder." It is reserved for those who give $7500 or more a year over and above their tithe. I'm not judging whether this is right or wrong, nor am I saying there is any sinister or evil intent behind it. All I am saying is, I do not find this practice anywhere in scripture so for that reason and because of the pressure it puts on people I disagree with that practice.

Is ELC a cult? I would say no. Are there some things that go on there that have gone on in cults? I guess one could form that opinion if the have a beef with the church or its pastors. And yes, the members there are fiercely devoted to their pastors and very protective of them. But I don't see that as a bad thing necessarily. Other pastors would probably give their right arm and the biggest King James they own to have that kind of loyalty. To me, it seems like it is done out of sincere love and appreciation for the pastors, and not compelled or coerced. And, regardless of the church or the pastor in question, we must always be careful to never elevate any human being above God.

In summation, ELC is not a perfect church and Keith Craft is not perfect man or a perfect pastor. Who among is though? I will echo the sentiments of another commenter though and say that he does appear to be a good role model of a godly husband, dad, and leader. Does he always get every little thing right? Of course not. Neither do you and neither do I. That's called being human. I learned a lot and grew a lot as a man, a father, and a leader while I was at ELC and would not trade the experience for anything. No sour grapes here, just an honest assessment of how I view things, The original poster however had enough sour grapes to feed a third world country.

Church recommendations

AUTHOR: jimc - ()

To the person looking or church recommendations in and around Frisco, I highly recommend the Frisco campus of Gateway Church. I am a member there and love it. We all have different styles, tastes, and preferences, so if Gateway is not for you, then I would make my secondary recommendation the church in question in this thread, Elevate Life Church. Sure, it's not for everybody, but you just might it fits you. I was a member there for a while and recently left for Gateway. I don't know if I out grew Elevate Life or if they out grew me, all I know is, when the Lord said it was time to go, I went.

Its changed

AUTHOR: Matthew - ()

So as im reading most of these reports some of them have good points and some of them i dont believe do. As christians, we are meant to lift up our fellow christians, not even just them but everyone. I will say this, i pretty much started at Celebration Covenant Church aka Elevate Life Church. When i was there i was still like 12 or 13 years old which now im 27. Pastor keith was always really nice, i went to this church for years and the pastors were awesome. now i took my wife that i have now to this church about 2 years ago, because i told her that pastor keith always bring a great message but i was embarrassed because the first 30 to 40 minuta were just about talking about giving money and why you should Give money. I apologized to my wife and we never returned. I believe keith can bring a great message but the church has lost its way in the Money. But i dont agree it was always like that cause thats not true, i used to Love to go to church there. Its just changed alot. We all have lost our way at some point, dont think its right to name call and put down though.

God will never turn his back on you and neither will the Men of God at Elevate Life Church

AUTHOR: Ron Robey - ()

I too was in the process of losing my home recently after some decisions that I had made in the months and years leading up to that moment.  Never did I expect for the Church to help me out financially with that situation when only God knew what I was going through and capible of.  Sometimes when you're about to lose something that you've worked so hard for it's similiar to being at you own funeral and watching card castle crumble in front of you.  God surely is the person to run to for shelter in moments like these and ELC is a great place to find him.  If God wanted you to have that house, car and/or other material things than you would have it and nobody could take it away from you.  It seems like we want what we want for our life instead of wanting what God wants for our life.

I did lose my house (notice that I did not say my home) and currently live in Virginia.  Even though it's not the same, I watch every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday to hear a word from God spoken through an imperfect vessle Keith Craft.  Thankful does not express the emotion felt when I think of ELC and it's staff of leaders.  Pastor Keith is a great role model for a husband, father, son, neighbor, businessman, friend or simply a man hungering after God.  When bad things happen to us we're quick to judge and point blame when we haven't pointed it at ourselves yet.

The song "I will pursue you" starts off with fitting lyrics for this situation and others like it.  Strip everything away til all I have is you, undo the veil til all I see is you.  This can be an important step for the rebirth of a believer as people exit earth every second only leaving behind a legacy to their loved ones and supporters.  How can you be a role model to someone going through a difficult situation if it's all about you?  I would recommend that you ask Jesus (who holds the key to eternal life) how these things that are happening our life are going to come together for our greater good.  Then I personally would like to thank Keith Craft, his family and Elevate Life Church for helping me on my journey to want more of God.  - Ron Robey

Very Well Said!

AUTHOR: bob - ()

I do not belong to this church however as I was reading some of the complaints, I have heard the same thing from likely every church that I have either attended or known someone that was affiliated with one.  These complaints will not go away as long as Satan is on the job.  As this poster stated if we would realize that the money in our possession is a gift from God and furthermore outside of an offering the Lord is only asking us to tithe 10% which means He is blessing you with 90%......   With all of the complaining going on it amazes me that we feel like we are being robbed when we retain the large majority of the money the Lord blesses us with.  Guys/Gals, lets put our priorities in order and stop blaming others for being blessed for doing what the Lords askes of them.

I totally disagree!!!!!!! ELC is GREAT!

AUTHOR: God is #1 - ()

It is very ODD to see such a negative report on this wondereful couple and amazing church. Sheila and Keith were kind to us the first time we met and every time after that. The funny thing is:

a) We have NOT sowed grand amounts of money into this church and

b) We aren't even members of their church.

Contrary to what this reporter says they have experienced, my household has not experienced this at all.It was incredulous for me to read something in this manner in regards to this wonderful couple of God. What we have experienced, is love, the truth of God's Word through Biblical teaching, kindness, and respect. Through social media, the Crafts found out that my usband and I got married. At their New Years Eve Service, they randomly called us out during their service and prayed over us as a couple and for blessings over our marriage in front of everyone. If the Crafts were as terrible as this reporter states, then I do not think they would do something like they did for us.  What they did was loving and thoughtful, especially for a couple that isn't even a member of their Congregation!

I think it is better for people to form their own opinions and not be so easily swayed by the opinions of others! The Bible tells us that "if the world hates us, we have to know that Jesus was hated before us." (John 15:18) So, as Christians, the Crafts are probably prayerfully ready when such untrue statements come against them. I love the Crafts and would recommend their church to anyone because through my peresonal experience, the Crafts are the total opposite of this report!

From the inside

AUTHOR: Zac1977 - ()

It's odd to see this on here. It's also very sad. I knew Keith & Sheila. Unfortunately Keith is a narcissistic megalomaniac. I wish it wasn't true but it is. And yes it's true. If you have no money or no talent they are not interested. I remember standing outside Keith's office & looking at a ceiling to floor sized self portrait of his face while he read a letter from a church member he was scoffing for calling him an egotistical narcissist lol. I just kinda stood there & looked at him & then kept glancing over at this huge portrait of his face wondering if he'd get what I was doing.

Not only was there a huge portrait of his face but the length of the two hallways were filled with pictures of himself also. I watched Keith very closely around people & around his staff. I couldn't get away fast enough. People that don't see through these guys are willfully blind. They are prostituting sacred things. It blows my mind that anyone would attend a church 'pastored' by people like this. I don't know the guy who wrote this complaint. But I do know Keith.

If he could humble himself before The Lord & empty himself of all the venomous ego he has become full of he could be an effective member of the Body. But as he is he is absolutely unprofitable to the Kingdom. Someone mentioned judging earlier. The Apostle Paul said the spiritual man judges all things. Those who are spiritual may judge the fruits & actions of people like Keith who use the Word of God for personal gain. Keith has one desire. He wants to be a shining star in the mesh church galaxy.

He really wanted to be a rock star but wasn't talented enough. I've prayed for guys like Keith but to no avail. They love themselves & they see people as a means to an end. I know this guys situation but his conclusions are correct. I know first hand from having been on the inside of that circle for a time. Keith isn't a pastor. He was never called to pastor. He just decided to do it. He thrives on having an audience. That entire church is a disgrace. It's not a church. It's vanity.

Family of Choice best decision I ever made

AUTHOR: msevier - ()

About a year and a half ago, my husband and I came to this church. I was pregnant, and we had no money! The principles behind all pastors at our church are backed by the bible. We believe in giving our talent, treasure, and time. The treasure is obviously tithing, and any church you go to will ask this of you.

My husband and I would not be together if it were not for this amazing church, and both pastor sheila and keith. I am extremely saddened that someone could ever be offended by either of them. Instead of blasting on the internet, you should have turned to your family of choice. After all, the pastors simply could have not received your message or it may be in the church policy that they can not give you money if you are not a member.

We hope and pray that you will give Elevate Life Church a second chance, because by no means is our family a "rip-off" type church. Bless you and your family!

AUTHOR: Anonymous - ()

Elevate Life Church. What an absolutely incredible place. I have been a part of this church for an extremely long time... What I watch over and over is people's lives transformed.

Sure, there are some people would tell you that Elevate Life is all about money or looks or whatever... The truth is, we need to strive to be excellent in every area of our lives. I care about my appearance because it is apart of treating my body like the temple that it is... It's not my place at all to judge how anyone wears their hair, if they've had plastic surgery, ect. Who really cares about that stuff anyways? Money. Why is it that talking about money can really send people. Pastors Keith and Sheila do not need your money. However, the Bible CLEARLY talks about tithing as Biblical principle... That shouldn't make us uncomfortable but encourage us. I have listened to the Pastors talk about money for a very long time and never have they said anything unbiblical. Let me be clear that I am the kind of person who spends my own time in the Word and I am far beyond just taking anything a pastor says to me as the ultimate truth.

I think it can be so hard for people to listen to someone talk about money because we are under the impression it is ours in the first place. It never was. Anything I have is a gift from God, regardless of how much or how little I worked for what I have. We all know that "money makes the world go 'round"... you use it pay for your living situation, food, necessities and often wants. I am 100% sure that I want to hear money preached about from the pulpit so I don't let my own natural, selfish way of thinking rule my heart in the way I live with my money.

As for as the man who complained about money and the church not helping him, the church as a process to assist people financially... just like most other churches I have come in contact with. The church consists far more of people who could have helped this man than just some process requirements that he unfortunately did not meet. THE PEOPLE are the church, not just the walls of the building or the staff. When people get involved at Elevate Life Church, whether that's through small groups, connect groups, serving, ect. this is how their needs are met. They find people who cook meals for them when there is an unfortunate situation, who financially assist them when they can't afford groceries or their electric bill, who pray with them and stand in the gap for them and do absolutely anything they can to help them. I can't tell you how many stories I have heard where it is THE PEOPLE of Elevate Life Church who are the church and carry out the heart of Pastors Keith and Sheila in assisting members who are hurting. Furthermore, there just as many instances where the Pastors themselves or the staff went absolutely out of their way to assist people in need. However, those people don't feel the need to broadcast everything they do for others, because that's not what it's about.

So for those of you who read the negative reviews and think "wow this church seems like a place I may not want to visit' ...I hear far more stories of people who felt more loved and welcome than they ever had at Elevate Life. You are smiled at from the moment you enter the parking lot, people smile and greet you as you walk in, there is prayer available if you need it, there are people every where available to help you get to where you need to be or answer any questions you may have. The pastors are almost always in the lobby following service to meet you. So take it from the person who has been here over a decade by choice and has watched things play out from a distance and from close up. Pastors Keith and Sheila are the same person off stage that they are on stage. You know what? Some churches don't fit everyone and if Elevate Life doesn't fit you, that's absolutely ok. We want you to find a place that fits you. Churches are like Baskin Robins... 31 flavors, still ice cream. So please, find a church that makes you feel absolutely loved and that you can call home. We hope that's Elevate Life, but if it's not, that's ok! My encouragement to people is that they don't knock the great of what God is doing somewhere because of a negative experience they had but to find a place where their experience is what they are looking for. Far be it from me to speak out about a church or pastor because things didn't go how I planned. I absolutely honor the people God has in place whether I agree with them, like them or not.

I realize that this is a lengthy review. To sum up, find out for yourself. Often people see what they want to see based on the filter they view the world. I have been here long enough and transitioned through different seasons of my life to be able to see and witness the consistency that exists here. God is doing great things and I am honored to be a part!

I love ELC

AUTHOR: Stacy T. - ()

ELC has changed my life and I hope other people don't let your negativity stop their life from being changed and impacted!

I feel so sad for the author of this review... I pray mercy for you!

Matthew 7:1-5

Judging Others

7 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

I stand behind my original report!!!

AUTHOR: Texasconsumer - ()

I wrote the Original Report. I did talk to Steve Minor and others at the Church. ELC is like a cult. All these nice reviews were probably written by Keith and Shelia Craft.  Or they told members to write them. They are wolves in sheeps clothing. Remeber Tammy Fay and Jim Baker? Jim Jones and the Peoples Temple? Other Cult leaders? People swore allegance to them. There is the person who said I should give all my money to the poor. Keith and Sheila Do? They needed a Mormon Temple Like structure? Ever hear of the Bible verse that says build your treasure in Heaven and not on Earth? At the time, I was just surviving. I had a wife and two kids. Losing my home. Being that Christians Help their Brother/ Sister, I did start attending the Church. I did meet people and was in the process of Joining. I reached out and asked for help. I wroye Keith and Sheila. They were too stuck up and too into their own we are Gods image to even respond. They are the most stuck up, fake people I have ever come across.  They are great actors who are scamming a lot of sheeple. The sheeple are just too dumb to know it! I went to a church much smaller.  I had never attended. It was in Frisco. No huge building. Just real Christians that actually preach what they Practice. They helped me. The Pastor actually came to my house for Dinner. Remeber the stars Keith and Sheila Craft would not even respond to my letter!  This is why the world dose not trust Christians. They preach love, mecry, ect., but they do another. Keith and Shiela are perfect examples of this.  Conartist using God's name to get rich. Their kids a part of the act? who knows. They sale their Christian Indoctrine and ELC members buy it.

By the way, Steve Minor , the guy at ELC who responded to my Letter told me he had lost 5 (five) homes to forclosure!! Why didn' t the wonderful and so Christ like Christians Keith and Shelia help him? Their God is Money and Fame. That is Keith and Sheila's Real religion and God. Their kids are probably being trianed to take over. These people are fake. They do NOT practice what the Word of God says. They are scam artist and wolves in Sheeps clothing. If you are looking for a church home, I would avoid Elevate Life. Run from this Church. The only life you will be elevating is that of Keith and Sheila Craft. Their kids too, as I am sur it is a family act and family Business.

I absolutely Love ELC... the church has changed my life. I think it is sad that someone would post something like this about any church but especially Elevate Life. The Craft family is amazing. They love everyone and take time to know everyone. Don't let someones negative spirit stop you from experiencing how amazing ELC is. I hope whoever wrote this review finds Jesus in a new way and learns to HONOR men of God like the Bible says.

1 Timothy 5:17

"Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching."

I wrote my own GOOD reveiw on this site because I believe in the Pastors of ELC and in the work they are doing.

Wholeheartedly agree

This pastor has been vacuuming up money from the surrounding area for years.

We first encountered Keith Craft in 2003.  At the time, the church was renting Fisher Elementary for Sunday service -- they didn't even have a building -- and Keith was riding to church in a 110-inch stretch limousine!  It's like he thought he was Billy Graham, or something.  We walked in the door of the school and the first thing we heard was his prosperity message.

His sermon basically went like this:

"If your life isn't perfect...if you aren't overflowing with happiness...if your health is failing...if your kids aren't behaving, etc.,... you haven't given enough money to the church.  If you give enough, you will have a wonderful life like me."

We knew this church was not based on scripture, so we decided to leave.  Two big bouncers were stationed at the door with their arms crossed.  They stood there and tried to intimidate us into staying.  I had to actually say, "Excuse us.  We're leaving.  Please step aside."  They looked at each other as if they had to think about it, but they did finally move.

In the bulletin, Keith even advertised his personal website at, which was all about Keith (what a great pastor and businessman he thinks he is).  That web address now belongs to a different Keith and has nothing to do with the church, so please don't hassle the guy that owns it now.

The church has changed names several times.  I'm sure legal entities have been dissolved and created periodically to protect "Keith's" assets.

Thankfully, we ran away and never looked back.  Others have not been as fortunate.

Protect your wallet and find a church where solid doctrine is practiced and preached.  Elevate Life is not such a place.

I Love ELC!

AUTHOR: LOVE ELC! - (United States of America)

It really makes me sad when people bash our ELC family because they cannot get past their own closed minded thinking. I will simply say if you think we are all about money you have missed the whole point and ministry of this house. I will share the same point and question I say when people make this comment. If YOU are so concerned about US being about money and supposedly not helping others, then I challenge YOU to give your paycheck and all you resources to the "poor", "helpless, and "needy" in other words quit judging others about something you are not first willing to do yourself, lead the way. If you complain about someone else not doing something and you yourself are not doing it, the YOU are a hypocrite. If you think this about Pastor Keith and Sheila then you obviously IGNORED the messages he shared about how much and how many times HE and Pastor Sheila personally give and sow into to others. I also challenge you to find anyone else who challenges you to be a better FATHER, HUSBAND, EMPLOYEE, FRIEND, a better YOU so you can love others the way God loves US, UNCONDITIONALLY!! The message- " we are blessed to BE a blessing to others, not to advance our own personal lives" ... Yes it takes money to operate ANY business or household. If you do not believe me try not paying your electric bill, water bill, cell phone bill, car pmnt, house pmnt, or get groceries at the store and decide not to pay at the checkout counter... then file a complaint that these companies are just all about money!! Read your BIBLE it addresses money and finances in some way in over 2/3rds of it. However God teaches about the PROPER use and place of money. If you do not believe me here either, then read it for yourself, I challenge you!!

I love Elevate Life Church

AUTHOR: Shawn - (United States of America)

I just read this report and literally felt sick.  I've been attending and serving Elevate Life Church for 8 years and absolutely love it.  Pastors Sheila and Keith are amazing pastors.  Most of the people that you think are staff are actually servant leaders.  Meaning, they give of their time to serve Gods house.  I'm so sorry to hear about your situation with trying to get help from the pastoral staff.  The church has more than 4000 members which means that there is a process to getting help.  All I have is a few questions for you.... Were you serving anywhere at the church? Parking team, greeter/ ushers, the FEW, cafe, children's, choir? Were you connected to any of the home groups?  Were you connected to any of the bible studies?  Did you attend any of the men's or women's ministries? Did you attend any of the financial classes?  Elevate Life Church is a relationship church.  There were over 4000 chances for you to connect with people that can help you in your journey with God.  I've personally built some amazing relationships with people that have come to my need in a snap.  Elevate Life Church is an amazing church with amazing people.  The church is not the pastors alone, collectively it's the people.  I pray that you give your next church more than a 3 month trial.  My advice to to get plugged in with the people and not lean so hard on the pastors...and this advice is for any church member.
