December 6, 2011 I was looking to purchas a pup/ pups that were advertised on a FREE CLASSIFIED internet site through ebay. This individual had all the pictures posted of which she claimed she had 7 pups ready to go. Elizabeth Fish the woman we talked to via internet first and then in person said that these 7 pups were all available. There has been a series of emais from Elizabeth Fish and back and forth as she at first seemed to want to accomodate the idea that she would bring them to us. But, later changed her mind because of distance and as she said "she coudn't leave the animals alone. Later saying that she had to buy a mobile dog kennel that cost her 18K and that she needed the money to make the payments as she had a bunch of puppies/dogs and that she had some other kinds of dogs as well.) That last comment left me thinking then I asked her immediately and specifically "how many dogs do you have, I thought you only bred Westies"? And she answered oh, just the momma, papa, and grandma's. Elizabeth Fish convinced me/us that she had healthy puppies, she was a good Christian woman and promised she would send the puppies info and more pics of the pups and parents, and also, would take them off of the advertising site as we finally made the decesion to purchase these pups. She told us to go ahead making the travel arrangements for Friday 9th and to simultaneously send her the check. We agreed. I told her why can't we do this through paypal she said NO, I trust you and you seem like nice people. Go ahead and send the payment to us and she gave us her information. I sent her an email with the detail instructions of the pups flight. And I wanted to know the progress on her side as to the pups vet certificate etc., This was now Wednesday the 7th and I called for status on same pics, dates of birth pups vet check up and pups food info etc., Elizabeth fish said to me "Im on the road just buying the puppy crates now I'll email you all the info later." I never heard back from this person again. I was confused and thought okay, I'm going to stop emailing and I started to call her. Finally Elizabeth Fish answered the phone wednesday evening and said "yeah" I was so confused and answered "yes HI ELIZABETH, I didn't hear from you and did you have the pups checked by vet?" She replied "YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE A SCAMMER" She rattled off that our address does not exist when in fact, it does. This was incredibly crazy as she was calling us frauds. Well, maybe we should have hung up the phone on her just by how insulting this individual was to us and how she attacked us for no reason. In spite of it all we were out to prove to her that we infact, lived where we said we lived and that we were serious people. W#e scanned our bank account check book and deposit slip showing clearly that the funds were there to be sent to her. Elizabeth fish then said "oh, my realtor friend said that's an empty home with a "for rent" sign etc. Well, go ahead making the plans for pups to fly" We talked about how i originally wanted to paypal her the amount for her safety and ours and finally she decided to take a paypal transfer of 1500 into her accout. This was Wednesday late afternoon. I told Elizabeth that I would cancell the flight for Friday and will set up a paypal account and send her the money which we did. I told her that we would wait on her to call us back with instructions and updates and emails of our pups birithdates, pics and such. That same evening we talked to her for the final time and told her to check her email "for your got money" Elizabeth rattled on that one of the pups had some bug/s on his skin and she was treating him ect with EXIT etc. I found that strange she would even bring that up and I asked her what happened to our pup and she said she had picked up some dog and mixed it with the pups and so the puppy has a little bug and she treating it. I said to her "Wow, why did you wait till after all this to say that to me? I then said is this going to be a worry or problem for me? As I made it very clear I wanted healthy puppies. and nothing less. She then said oh, i'm gonna have it looked at and I then said I'll be expected the status so i can make plans to take off of work and also, the status on the pup and emails on pics etc.
The following day we called and sent her several emails of which she never responded. We left her a final voice mail at 8pm telling her that we needed to hear from her and that the purchase of the pups had contingencies that she needed to fullfil as part of our email/verbal agreement in good faith. We never heard back from this person. On Saturday we decided that we simply couldn't do this anymore and we called paypal and tried to stop transaction but, didn't do any good as the money was on it's way. I went to the bank and reported a "fraud" breach of contract and intentions to sell the same pups to other s that she sold originally to us. I/we are telling our story because these infamous frauds by people like this one happen to to many nice, trusting people. And it's simply just wrong. We never heard from this individual. But, the proof we have that she tried to sell the same pups to someone else we have in our posession. This will make it to the attorney general and we will file the police reports and also report to USDA the governing body that regulates these breeders for operating unscrupolous business and attempting to commit fraud.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company
UNFAIR AND UNJUSTIFIED TREATMENT
AUTHOR: anonymous - (USA)
SUBMITTED: Monday, March 04, 2013
I spoke with the woman and immediately asked her where she was
from. Due to the fact that I have never and will not ship my puppies or put
them on a plane, I offered to drive over 10 hours to meet the customer halfway.
At this time, she only wanted two dogs. Within a few days, she was asking for
seven puppies. The puppies in question were third generation from my kennel.
They are healthy, happy, AKC registered White West Highland Terriers.
She repeatedly asked me to send more pictures of the puppies.
This seems to be a tactic that professional scammers use. This is so that when the
scammers use my pictures of my puppies, their potential buyers will not suspect
that they have been stolen. In a very short period of time, she became
persistent and desperate for my puppies.
She repeatedly called me at indecent
hours insisting that I get these puppies on a plane to her as soon as possible.
She gave me dates and times informing me that she had the shipping from my town
to Phoenix, Arizona taken care of and all I had to do was drop my puppies off
at the airport. I told her that I was uncomfortable with shipping my puppies
and I told her repeatedly that I do not ship pups. Then she thought she could
convince me by sending me money. I told her not to, but she persisted anyway.
She proceeded to send an uninsured $1500 to my PayPal account which I immediately
returned. The name was finally indicated
at the bottom of the PayPal account. This is when I realized there was no doubt
in my mind that I had done the right thing. I found out at that time that the address
they gave me was false. The apartment address that I found on the PayPal
account was listed under a vacant MLS in Apache Junction, Arizona. I called the
realator to verify this, and he informed me that it was vacant for a number of
months. I lightly investigated the name of the person on the PayPal receipt. My
findings were that this name had many other aliases.
After I sent the money back, I did
not want any further relationship with her. She then began to call me from
different numbers. Later, I received a call from a man with a different nam that
was obviously the same supposed man from Apache Junction, Arizona. He told me
that he was from a different state and tried to buy one or two of my puppies
from me. I told him the same thing I told him previously. I said that I would
drive to meet him halfway.
I cant begin to describe to anyone
how much of a sinking feeling my husband and I felt from these scammers. We
appreciate and treasure my puppies and to have someone insinuate that we would
ever do anything like what is being accused is horrible
and heartbreaking to me
and my husband. I have lost many, many nights of sleep in total dismay over the
situation. People like this should be penalized for their actions. I am in
utter dismay that these two individuals who allegedly are from Apache Junction,
Arizona are subjecting innocent victims to their harsh slander. I dont feel
that it is necessary to put any names or aliases in this rebuttal, but, if
anyone is interested, please feel free to contact me for further information
regarding this incident.
