On Friday June 1st 2018 . A friend of mine named John Nguyen bought a prius prime with premium package . A sale person named David Trinh was helping him . They came to a deal of $28,000.00 plus tax and licence ( the original sticker is $30,447.00 ) . However a sale manager named Michael Bui took my friend to the finance department and tell the finance to charge my friend an amount of $29,825.00 ( a $1,825.00 above the price my friend agreed with ) . They really rushed up the transaction in order for my friend not having enough time to go over the contract .
What's a whole bunch of crook . My friend finally paid an extra amount of $1,825.00 plus tax more than he first agree .
My friend also found an article about this guy Michael Bui ripoffreport.com/reports…
You could go online a do research .
So be very careful with these people . You must read the contract before you sign .

This transaction will be reported to DMV and Better Business Bureau .

I totally agree with you both . It's my friend fault . but let me explain a bit more . After my friend was nailed at the dealer for hours , he's so tired to really be able to focus . Beside this the language barrier ( he speaks vietnamese ) which made him unable to understand the contract .

The dearler had him signed the whole contract in english , and then gave him a copy of the contract in vietnamese in order to protect their behind ( what's a trick )

There is no extended warranty is added on or what so ever . They just put a different number on the price of the car and added everything up .... My friend got ripped off .

You need to review the contract to see where the extra charges came from. They could have very likely been an Extended Warranty or some sort of Maitenence Package. If that is the case very often you can have those cancelled and credited back to the loan so the payments are reduced.

If they just changed the price from what your "friend" thought, then there isn't much the DMV or BBB is going to do because the written contract will always override a verbal agreement.  The "excuse" that they didn't give him enough time to read the contract is just that..an excuse. After tha fact this becomes nothing more than a case of buyer's remorse.

Same Old Story-Same Old Blame Game!

As per your own words, your friend FAILED to read the contract before reading it. That's NOT the dealer's fault...it's his! The contract is a legal document which binds the buyer to terms and conditions. It is absolutely incredible anybody would be so (fill in the blank) as to NOT want to know what those terms and conditions are! Next time, tell your friend to develope some COMMON SENSE before spending any amount!
