Meet with Brenan, wanted to meet men between 55-65 no older. Figured they would be professional men. First date, started fine, than this guy in the end only wanted sex!

Second date they set me up with a 70 year old man!! Blasted them with an e-mail no more, keep with in my request. Been told I don't look my 63 years. I work out take care of my self. Third guy was up set lived to far away, no date at all. Have not heard from them since.

Requested my money back many times, fell on deaf ears. From what I have found on line this has been happening to all the people who sign up. This needs to stop!!! They need to refund the money to all of us!!!

#1 Consumer Comment

Customer list

AUTHOR: Diana - ()

Dear Paul:

Could you provide me with the supply of satisfied consumers?  All I see is unsatisfied consumers and I am one of them.  Your company, e-love, or personal introductions, not sure which one, as personal introductions has been dissolved in Massachussetts, and according to Maryland SDAT, Brad Megahan is the owner.  I received a phone call from e-love, stating they would "write off" the debt.  I saw in another comment that this happened to them too and was still turned over to collections.

Thank you,

#2 Consumer Suggestion

Constructive Letter to the owner

AUTHOR: bluebird - (United States of America)

Are you the owner of the entire business which has local offices including Columbia, Maryland?

If you are really the owner, it seems like you are recounting the possibilities which are presented to the customers, when they come in to the business.  I do understand things do not always turn our perfect, but it's important to follow the rules, which in my case weren't followed.  I am not here to slam the company, or the owner, because something like this is really needed, and those looking for quality people would probably spend any amount of money to actually get it.

I was a victim of domestic violence, and it was very important for me to have a background check on the individuals I dated.  I had attempted Internet dating, since shortly after my divorce, I moved out of state with my kids to be with my father after my Mom passed away.  It was really hard to meet people in a place where I had not lived.  I found Internet dating was comprised of a bunch of false faces, who as this customer pointed out, wanted sex, not that "one" for life.

Paul, I do understand about giving a chance to things, but the foundation of my relationship was based on trust, trust that first and foremost, a background check would be done.

My first match was with a married man, and he had been, by his own admission, arrested for domestic violence. After our first meeting at a mall, he attempted to follow me home, and I made wild circles to finally lose him. Creepy. I have filed a BBB complaint to just write off what I owe.  I have been dealing with this for nearly 2 years, made a verbal agreement that it would be written off, then found all the info I provided (I had spent 8 months hiding from my exhusband who tried to take my son by force, and was in a domestic violence shelter) regarding contact information, was turned over to collections. That really hurt, especially since my divorce has already damaged my credit.

So if the point of this letter is to make suggestions, there are just a few.

  • You will only attract quality people with quality service.  The background check did not find the man was married and had been arrested.  I think I can get a background check nationally for $25.  Increase the price that much.

  • I think there is a problem with the actual matchmakers not being in the actual location where the people live.  Why aren't they in the office where I originally meet with them?  The person making my matches was not in my state. She did not get that the few miles further than where I wanted to meet someone, involved driving back and forth over a bridge where the toll is $4.

  • There out to be a "check" in after a certain period of time. The initial meeting was really an ego boost, that young lady, like the poster her, really made me feel like there was a chance....but now it hurts to think that person was just a salesperson, because I could not address my concerns directly with her or anyone in my state.

  • If there is an issue, have a fair refund policy.  I had one match that did not work out, and I did not request any further man hours be spent on my situation.  I had made a few monthly payments, for one wrong match. I realized there were limitations to finding a "safe" person.  Now I am being harassed by a collection agency.
Here's a suggestion....hire me as your Delmarva matchmaker!  Based on the attempts I have made at trying to meet someone, I think I would be very helpful to people who are just aching to find that one special someone, and I know all the great places in this area.

#3 REBUTTAL Owner of company

From the CEO

AUTHOR: Paul - (United States of America)

I have had the pleasure of working with Brenan McGarrigle for over the past 25 years.  Not only is she the best matchmaker I have ever seen but also she cares about each and every one of our clients.  Brenan has been responsible for over 1,000 marriages in our company to date.  She has changed countless lives over the years.   For Brenan to give you hope, inspiration and a positive attitude to accomplish such a difficult feat is her way of making a very hard task possible and enjoyable.   For you to go online and put Brenan down for trying to keep you positively motivated because she is willing to do whatever it takes to find you someone  is disrespectful to her and all the members whose lives she has changed..  I can supply you with  many clients who have come to us over the years and have had nothing but positive results with Brenan .  The success of our company over these years is largely due to people like Brenan.  They take an overwhelming task and have a whatever it takes attitude to find someone special in your life.  Take a good look around at what the world has to offer and you will see you are with the best matchmaker for your needs..  If it were so easy to do there would be thousands of matchmakers making these claims without any proof. I have the ability to prove that Brenan is a great matchmaker and most importantly someone who would never give up on you.  It is sad to see that you gave up on her so quickly and publicly. Sincerely,

Paul A.Falzone CEO
