On August 25th, 2010 I contacted this company to replace my transmission and radiator. On 9/9/2010, my vehicle's engine was destroyed and my driveway had been ruin by coils from the vehicle begin cut & drilled. The transmission work to my surprise was performed in my driveway; there is no way possible a transmission can be removed and replaced in a driveway; but I had already paid my money. I had no choice but; to accept this situation. The mechanic did not have the proper tools or the proper setting. The forcing, pulling, drilling and hammering on the engine parts caused considerable damage to my vehicle. There were pieces of metal all over the engine from forcing the transmission to come out and go in place. After the 2nd day (9/ 8); I asked if there were any problems, and if my vehicle was ok. I was informed everything is going great. On 9/9/10; I was informed my vehicle was ready and the driveway was going to be repaired. I started my vehicle and notice; it was making a loud noise and vibrating. The owner refused to correct the mistakes; on 9/10/10; I had my vehicle towed to an ASE mechanic, and repairs were corrected (cost $728.00). The ASE Mechanic has noted the repairs were caused from the forcing of the transmission into the vehicle, the hoses, coils and bolts were cut/ drilled and left off, the fuel coils were cut; which is why the neighborhood spells like gasoline. The work from EmerTech was never completed; I still have a brand new radiator in my garage ,I paid EmerTech in full for the Radiator and antifreeze coolant. The driveway has transmission fluid, oil, gasoline and antifreeze embedded into the concrete. Due to EmerTechs negligence; I am requesting reimbursement for my vehicle repair cost ($728.00), my driveway repair cost, a refund for the radiator & antifreeze that I paid for in- advance (144.00). I am willing to return the radiator to EmerTech upon request.

AUTHOR: EmerTechMAS - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, November 05, 2010

I am the owner of EmerTech Mobile Auto Services. The original call the customer made to us was to have the transmission replaced. They paid for parts upfront, as they were provided. We installed the new transmission, and there were a few minor problems with the vehicle after the completion of installation. The total for labor was $600.00, this doesn't include parts this is the outstanding balance to date as of 11/5/2010. We attempted to diagnose and repair the problems noticed by us and the customer as soon as they were pointed out. The customer would not allow the technician to conduct any further labor or diagnosis on the vehicle, and decided to keep the keys to the vehicle from the mechanic, preventing him from starting the vehicle, which would also prevent further labor or diagnosis. I personally advised over the phone that the customer still had up to 45 days to pay the outstanding labor balance, as we were not allowed to solve the aforementioned problems beyond our control. I told the customer within that time period they could go have the vehicle looked at by another mechanic, and have them assess whether the repairs necessary at that point were due to our installation, or not at our fault and to provide me with the bill if it was our fault.

The customer did not follow up with us, but simply reported us to certain agencies. They have not provided us with the proof of extra repairs but did publicly name the shop they sent it to. I called the shop, and they said that the repairs were not at our fault. They said that the repairs were purely circumstantial. I had orignally as well told the customer that their driveway would be pressure washed as soon as the bill was satisfied or the matter was closed. They took matters into their own hands, left my company out to dry, and I will see them in court. My company's phone number is publically posted all over the web, as well as email. I have not been contacted by anyone via email or phone. I called another agency and they said they closed the matter due to the fact that the customer provided them with an incorrect address to the business. This is the case because the company's address is kept private, since we are a mobile auto repair business, and we conduct services wherever the vehicle is located, not at the location of my driveway or my technician's driveway.
