I am presently assisting a friend of mine, now 20 year daughter, in a civil lawsuit against Empire Beauty School and Empire Beauty Group for wrongful termination or "procedural due process rights" violations. After an argument between my client and another student, the Executive Director(ED) at the time decided to just terminate my client from school without adhering to the current established student disciplinary process procedures and in accordance to state and federal laws which requires at least some form of hearing prior to being fully terminated from school. Immediately after she was terminated, my client made several calls, letters, to EEG, Ms. Delia Sube, as well as to NACCAS; EBS accrediting agency, in order to protest her complete termination from school and/or to a least receive a fair and impartial hearing as to confront her accusers that she verbally threatened the students and staff with physical violence.

Just recently as we attempted to retrieve her school records or transcripts--to present to the courts--not only were we given the run around about how to obtain those records, and where they were located; but when she finally went to the school to retrieve those records, she was charged $10.00 and provided with only 1 sheet of paper called a "Student Progress Report" Later we discovered they had no justification to charge such an amount for that 1 piece of information. As we further invsetigated, we also saw that other students had been terminated unjustifiably and without being provided a fair and impartial hearing. We allege that EEG or EBS are doing this in order to fraudulently collect monies from students who leave the schools by way of termination or drop-out. They reimbursed the $10.00 but only after forcefully challenging them on the rule which justified them charging the $10.00, and only months earlier. This company, organization is committing fraud.

I've read many complaints on here from former students and employees of EEG or EBS regarding fraud, misrepresenatation of their programs, shoddy educational practices, etc. And if any of you read this message, we would appreciate your input or support in efforts to put a STOP to the unethical and illegal practices being committed by this school on our young students!!
