Got monthly phone bill from AT&T with a charge of $14.95 from Enhanced Services Billing, In.c on behalf of Transcendent Corp - Internet Access Mo Fee. I have had the same internet provider for years and it is not Transcendent Corp. AT&T says they cannot remove charges, and I just get automated messages from Transcendent Corp.

Webpage address for Transcendent Corp. 2nd-process.com/ISP-591/faq.html gives phone number for cancelling ISP service with this company directly. The number for ESBI (biller) is on the phone bill to also cancel.

Enhanced Services billing, AT&T ESBI Cramming On-line Nationwide

Contacted ESBI today; none of my personal info (email address, etc.) on their records was correct. Customer service person was personable. I was told they would send AT&T a credit for charge for the "dial-up" service for this month and next. Said it would take two billing cycles to correct it. I asked AT&T to put a disputed bill next to that charge. They tell me I am still responsible for the charges. I read on-line that I could request third-party billing block on AT&T so that I won't get future cramming bills. That took a lot of time, patience and several transferred telephone calls to complete. AT&T never volunteered this info to me. There is no charge for this service. Only minor problem is that no one can collect call you (have high school or college kids?). Need to check this out before asking for this service, varies in some states.
