In March 2013, we contacted Environmental Lawn Care. We had received a huge bill in the mail when they were supposed to be charging our credit card after one or two times of cutting the lawn.

We called and told them we were under contract to sell that house. We said to charge the full amount due, charge us for one more time and then no more. They charged us at the end of march and then the one last time the first week of April.

On May 24 they charged $120 without permission and I didn't realize until the middle of June. I thought they might have had it on automatically billing us and would credit us when they realized the mistake. I left a detailed message about how they charged us and we said in March to stop and to please credit us back.  I contacted them throught their facebook page when they didn't call that day. When they finally wrote me back on facebook, he said they were waiting for a call from my husband in order to stop. This was the end of June when he wrote back and the last they heard from us was in March. If that was true, why did they stop cutting on their own in May without a call from us until June when I saw they charged us again?

I left a BBB complaint and filed a dispute with my bank. It's only $120 but they took it without permission. They have terrible record keeping which is why they kept forgetting to charge our credit card in the first place.  I paid them alot of money for a long time and didn't mind that. But I'm very angry that they didn't stop. I'm over 1000 miles away so I had no way of knowing if they cut after I said stop. But it is their mistake and they got away with taking our money after April when they weren't authorized. To me, that's stealing.

This is the husband of the lady that filed the complaint.  This company is so wrong on so many things.  They never had to deal with my wife at all during the lawn care service until they charged us after services were terminated.  I was the one who started the lawn care service and I was the one who gave the card information.  When I started the service we lived in Washington and the house was in South Carolina.  I gave them the card information and told them to charge it whenever they did the lawn servicing.  This did not happen they would do the lawn servicing several times then send a bill to me.  I would try to call them and had a hard time everytime getting in touch with them.  By the time I would the bill would usually between $200.00 and $300.00.  I would ask every time that they charge the card after services instead of waiting or sending a bill.  The lady I talked to would tell me they would charge the card from then further and it wouldn't happen.  I have no complaints about the care they did on my property that was great.  The only complaint I have is that I talked with the lady that answers the phones in March and told them the house was under contract to charge the card with the over due amount since they did the same thing again with the billing and to cut the yard 1 more time before the closing and charge the card just that last time.  My wife is upset with this company because she was standing there when I was on the phone with the company and told them to charge the card and do the yard one last time in March.  This is why she has filed the complaints and has been so intent on getting the money back for the services performed after the last authorized lawn service.  There have been no false complaints and this is how it happened.  Like I said earlier I had no complaints about the lawn care of the house in question ( They took care of it for almost 2 years with no issues except the billing).  Just the billing process this company has is in question.

This has been the customer from hell.   I'm starting to think she is working for my competitors.   She started services with us and provided her credit card to pay for services.  She claims her husband called to stop services but he didn't .  Plain and simple.   We performed services and charged her card accordingly.   I have owned this company for over twenty years,  we have thousands of customers who we've never had a problem like this.   Our reputation speaks for itself.    How about not reporting things like this annonymously.  I will consider legal actions for you falsely slandering my company.
