I saw the informercial for Epower and Profits one night after a day of shopping around for books about Ebay.

The next day I ordered their $29.95 package around 12:40PM. I rethought things a bit and decided to check ripoffreport.com and saw all of the people that were having problems with the company so I decided that the best thing to do would be to just give them a call and cancel my order.

I never received any form of confirmation of my order. I called and after waiting on hold for a while spoke with a salesman. I told him that I would like to cancel the order that I had placed less than an hour ago. Apparently they are incapable of cancelling orders after they have been placed. I was told that I would have to wait until the product was shipped to me and refuse to package.

I reponded by telling this salesman that I would NOT be paying shipping charges and that if they decided to ship it to me it would be at their expense round trip. He then became very rude, telling me that their terms of service dictated that once my order was placed I would have to receive the product and then send it back.

I personally don't think that cancelling an order BEFORE it ships is too much to ask - unless someone is making money off of shipping it to you. I personally would never deal with this company again based on everything that is on this website alone, but after my personal experience with them I can say that I do not trust them one bit. I have already called and cancelled the extra VIP services that they automatically bill you for and I will be attempting to get my money back via their "30 day money back guarantee." We'll see how that goes.

Good luck for anybody who deals with this company.

Hi Scott,

Any legit. company would have no problem cancelling an order just placed, a couple of key strokes on a computer and it is done. You will get billed the entire amount on your credit card, because that is what these people do, they scam credit cards. The information, if you get it, is worthless and their only goal is to get you to call the 800 number on the cover letter.

Once you do a smooth talking con man will attempt to get you to spend an additional say 6,000 on your credit card for some worthless mentoring sessions. This works just like the John Beck scam. Consider yourself lucky, but a warning they do have your credit card number. I would call your credit card company, cancel your current card and issue a new one to protect myself.
