Last August, my wife and I decided to sell our big house, down size to condo. We placed the house thru a broker, and began looking for a new mortgage for the condo. My wife found a company on the internet www.ericlixey.com The company was the Open Mortgage dba Austin Advantage Financial located 1504 W 5th St - Austin, TX 78703.
She contacted Eric Lixey, his phone is 512-501-1886, and explained to Eric that the whole deal was hinged on the sale of our house. She was sent an application, which we filled out and sent back to Eric Lixey. We got a contract on the house, which fell through 10 days before close. She called Eric Lixey at Open Mortgage dba Austin Advantage Financial and told him we could not take another mortgage.
Eric Lixey, called her back stating that we would still qualify. We knew we could not afford to buy the condo and keep the house. Eric Lixey, from Open Mortgage dba Austin Advantage Financial keep calling and would not let take NO. We were mad that Eric Lixey and or Austin Advantage Financial would try to push us into a mortgage we could not afford. We never received anything else from Eric Lixey or from Open Mortgage dba Austin Advantage Financial.
A few months ago. I came home from work and found a subpoena for us to be in court, Eric Lixey with Open Mortgage dba Austin Advantage Financial was suing us for $5400.00 for mortgage services? We immediately called Eric Lixey. He hung up on us. We then called an attorney, went to the first court date and told the judge that WE DID NOT OWE ERIC OR HIS COMPANY ANYTHING.
Our attorney recommended that we attempt to settle. I was against the idea, but we offered $1000.00 to settle. They accepted, stated but we had to agree to never file any complaint against them.
I want to make sure that Eric Lixey or Open Mortgage dba Austin Advantage Financial never tries to pull this s**t ever again.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company
False Complaint
AUTHOR: Eric - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Monday, January 04, 2010
We have never sued anyone, at anytime, for any reason. This is a complete fairy tale. I assume it was filed by Chris Fletcher who stole money from our company and who we filed a complaint against. Whoever wrote this, if you were actually sued by a mortgage company please file a complaint against the correct company and remove this post.
