Enhanced Services Billing Inc (ESBI) A charge for Enhanced Business Services in the amount of $49.95 showed up on my AT&T phone bill. Internet

I have an unauthorized charge for "business enhancement services" from ESBI on my AT&T telephone bill. I called the 800 number listed, and got a recording with instructions to visit www.billview.com. I went to the website, and was still unable to find out any information as to the nature of the charge. When I checked Google, I came across Ripoff Report. Obviously, I am not the only one who has had this problem.

I don't understand how AT&T can allow charges that I do not authorize! I filled out the online customer service request with ESBI, and am waiting to hear from them. I also plan to contact AT&T on Monday, as well as the Public Utilities Commission, Office of Customer Protection for the state of Texas.

I encourage anyone else who is a victim of this type of fraud to take a stand, and contact any consumer advocacy group in your state!
