Eschelon Merchant Services Horrible, bait and switch company! A salesman by the name of Lance Braswell came in to my office and told me to try out Escheleon and told me I could save 30-40 dollars a month. He said he had a military background and appeared to be somebody I could trust. I was happy with my current merchant service provider but since Lance told me that if I wanted to quit after using their system that I could and their would be no fees, I signed up. I used their ABSOLUTELY horrible phone interface for a month and I had charges that did not go through due to a glitch on the interface they provided. I had to go back and call many of my customers and ask them for their credit info. ON TOP OF THAT the charges showed up twice on my customers bill so my customers had limited access to their funds due to the crappy interface I was given. I called in to cancel services and upon doing so I was informed I couldn't stop, and if I did I would be billed 50 dollars a month for a year! Whoa LANCE! You didn't tell me about that! Actually he said the exact opposite, that I could try the interface and if I did not like it I could quit and that would be it. I SHOULD NOT HAVE LISTED.  Don't trust these crooks! Phoenix, Arizona

I met with an Eschelon Merchant Services salesman Lance Braswell. He appeared to be a very trustworthy person with a military background, so I felt comfortable hearing his pitch. He told me about the services that his company offered and said that my company would be able to save 30/40 dollars a month if we switched to Eschelon. This isn't a lot of money but for a small  He informed me that I could try out their services and if I did not like them I could stop using their services and I would not be charged for doing so. I signed up and used their interface for a month and a half. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! The interface was terrible and even had a glitch from what I was told by one of their phone reps. This glitch caused ALL my charges for that day to NOT be processed. I had to call ALL of my customers back individually and rerun their cards...they were not happy about this at all! On top of that the charge showed up twice on their account so many of them had limited funds until the mess up was corrected. I tried to use their processor for a few more weeks but their processcor was not as good for keeping accurate records and producing reports. After a couple more weeks I was not pleased and decided to go back to my old processor that I luckily did not cancel.

I called Eschelon to cancel and then they dropped the bomb on me that I wouldn't be able to do so without being charged about 50 dollars monthly. I was very upset so I called Lance and told him what had happened, he told me he would get it straightened out for me...but then...I never heard back from him. I called him back weeks later and his tone and attitude completely shifted with me and told me "You didn't tell us you had problems with the processor so we can't release you from the payment." This shows how unorganized this company is...I literally called for tech support over 15 times during my short stay with them because I had so many problems. However, he could find no record of this. He told me I was screwed in so many words so I decided to voice my feelings about him and his company here. Lance and Eschelon let me down tremendously, I come from a military family and I guess I should not have trusted this guy. When he made the initial sale to me I kept asking about potential situations that could leave me locked in a contract and everyone of them was met with a response assuring me that if I was not pleased I would not be locked in...and here I am months later locked in to a contract. Next step will be contacting my lawyer.
