I am a customer of ESI. I paid them a huge amount of money to assist me in my job search. According to ESI, they have a so-called "Golden circle" of contacts to these hidden jobs. They make you do all the work, the resume format that they recommend is so outdated, that I have had dozens of HR professionals advise me to change my resume because it is too detailed, difficult to read, and nobody uses this format anymore. My advisor Wendell, was a joke. After a year of no job opportunities through their so called "golden circle" Wendell and Herbe admitted that they do NOT have any contacts. My background is sales and management with a University degree and they couldn't supply a single connection. Wendell then tells me....." I've never seen such a tough job market" and was scratching his head. Why the **** do you think that I came here in the first place????

After my complaints to Herbe, nothing changed, it actually became worse. ESI claims to stay with you until you find a suitable position and they guarantee it. After one year, I was taken off their search engine and when I contacted Wendell, he informed my that it automatically expires after a year and ESI will re-instate me into their data base. They never did.

Stay away from the company and don't be lured into paying one penny with their BS sales pitch.

 So, I had a "So called" interview with Mr. Herb today ... He talked bout my personal life, goals, and things .... It started triggering me when he asked if I were single or married and even more when he said fees are involved ... I have never heard that a job seeker should pay to find a job ... isn't that called corruption? you pay someone to get a job?

Secondly, Why do I have to bring anyone with me for my interview? Why would an employer what to talk to my family about a job that I applied for?

Mr. Herb also says that when you look for a job on the internet on sites like monster, indeed, eluta, workopolis and so on, it only has 15% of the jobs posted from the market .... So is he telling that only his company has access to all the other 85% jobs? I was very upset and left without anything. Did not show him I was upset. I am sure I have all the ability to find a perfect job for myself without "Corrupting" and paying anyone ... !!!

I hope everyone reads this and does not waste their time, energy and gas on going there for nothing.

The time has come to rebut the half truths, misconceptions and untruths about my company presented on the RipoffReport and other blog posting sites.

I believe in "the right" of organizations like the RipoffReport to provide a forum for individuals to express what they know, what they think they know, what they feel and what they perceive. If the words  ripoff, complaints, scams and frauds were not a part of branding these comments, or if this information was not presented as a warning to consumers I would not have an issue with the web host. The branding implies that information provided is fact. This is false. No effort has been made by the website host to verify.

I believe in "the right" of the individual to express their perceptions, feelings and opinions. But when these expressions (some can be called falsehoods) spread misinformation to other indiviuals who actually make career decisions on what they perceive to be facts, people get hurt.

My name is Herb Theune, principal of ESI Careers, and it is time to set the record straight. I own this company and speak facts. Please note: I am not anonymous. I wanted to put my email address in this rebuttal but RipoffReport guidelines prohibit that. I will respond  to any questions from a named source through contact information on our website.

I wish to clarify the following:

a) There is absolutely no relationship between RD Group and my company. There never has been. We are competitors and operate on very different philosophies. I worked there for a few months when I came out of retirement, so I know the facts.

b) There are absolutely no complaints anywhere on the internet to my knowledge from any clients of ours. That is because we deliver.

c) I bought this company (previously operating under a different name) in 2007 and rebranded, retooled and changed they way we do business and treat people. To assume that because we are in the same industry as someone else, we are like them makes as much sense as assuming because I drive a Honda I am Japanese. Whois accurately identifies our new website's inception date in 2008. It was part of rebranding and bringing transparency to the way we connect with people and does not indicate when this company started.

d) Our website accurately overviews services provided to both employers and individuals. We will gladly respond, at no cost, to individuals who might want help in advancing or changing their careers or employers who might want help in finding suitable candidates for positions or who might be seeking outplacement assistance for any exiting employees. We will gladly discuss your situation and objectives with you at our expense.

Many people come to us wanting help in furthering their careers and making a better life for their families. If they make decisions based on misinformation and mistaken conclusions that permeate the RipoffReport, they suffer. We live in a generation where Google has replaced Websters. The two are not the same.

Anyone who accepts as fact the anonymous statements made on the RipoffReport about my company are being ripped off.
