Where to start?
First off Eternal Freedom is not a 501 (c)3, regardless of how many times she puts it on her website. She's not registered with the state of Florida. She's not registered with the IRS. Your "charitable donation" is not legally charitable. It is going into the pocket of a for-profit fraudster.
Secondly. She's a horse hoarder. Plain and simple. 50+ horses on 14 acres of rented land. She claims these horses are being given to her, but she doesn't tell people that she is actively soliticing them from other rescues, for sale ads, craigslist and free horse classifieds. She is constantly requesting new horses from the community. Very few are true "rescues".
Third. The horses are not being taken care of. The fences are destroyed. The horses are all skinny and continuing to lose physical condition. She does not have the money to feed or care for them properly. [continued below]....
..... Horses who need veterinary care are not getting it. She's been quarantined by the Department of Agriculture twice for failing to keep a current coggins on all of her horses. She's also been accused of forging coggins tests.
To date, (3/4/2013) 5 horses have died on the property since 2012. 1 colicked and was denied veterinary care for more than 24 hours. 2 were euthanized with bullets - no veterinary care given. 1 died on his own. The last one is unknown cause of death. Only two of these horses were old enough to be considered "seniors".
Four: Stephanie Lynn threatened to Euthanize some of her "rescues" in January of 2013 - in order to make room for horses she SIGNED up to take from the BLM. She wanted these horses because she wanted the money she gets paid to train them.
Five: Stephanie Lynn let one of the BLM horses colic and die less than 3 weeks after getting him. She did not call the vet for more than 24 hours. There are videos on Youtube of people standing around laughing hours before this horse died - while the horse is dying in the round pen.
Six: All possible crimes aside, this girl doesn't know how to ride well and has no business training horses. She lacks the necessary experience level to provide proper care and instruction. Not a good place for your kids to learn about horses. Not a good place to get involved learning about horses.
Seven: She adopts unhandled horses to beginners. When they have difficulty working with the horses, she just doesn't care.
Eight: She's notorious for harassing and bullying anyone who stands up to her or even questions her motives. She sells horses to people with a ridiculous 3 year contract and then violates it for anything under the sun (don't want her coming over at 2 am? Too bad. You just violated your contract). She takes the horses back from homes that love them and then resells them again for another profit. She's done this to dozens of people.
Nine: This whole business is for profit. She can't afford to feed her horses but she has a nice vehicle and an expensive dye job. When people have offered to take horses off her hands (local, legitimate barns who have the facilities and experience to help) she blows them off and tells them they can BUY the emaciated horses from her.
All in all, just stay away from this place and this girl. She's harming the animals and using people for her own selfish gain, all while crying "poor me!"
