I want to report this company for its misrepresentations when making its vacation offers and for the sales representative's unprofessionalism.  I just recently made a complaint on ETourandTravel's website. Here is a summary of what has taken place. In 2012 I purchased a package to go to Daytona for 3 days and Orlando for 3 days.  When making my purchase the sales representative offered a rental car for only $100; I declined the offer. I was then asked if I knew what BOGO meant.  I informed him that I was aware of what BOGO meant. He offered me a BOGO package that could be used if I purchased the $100 rental car and that the package would have an extended period of two years to use it.  I believed this a great deal, I was under the impression that I would be purchasing 2 travels for the price of one that I could use it myself, so I accepted the offer.

When I received our package in the mail I found out otherwise.  The BOGO package was to be used by someone other than myself and could not be used at the same time in which I was traveling.  I brushed this off to a misunderstanding on my part.  I went ahead and filled out the "mail back card" for my step daughter's family to use.  They saved their money up in hopes of going on vacation.  We asked them periodically if they had received an email from the company; they never did.  Now this year, 12/08/2013 - 12/10/2013 I have received three phone calls from the company (one each day) offering another package.  They are offering a $300 package with a value of $700.  On the first phone call I respectfully declined the package.  I informed the caller that I had bought into a membership of KGI and would be using it to make my travel plans, and that I was dissatisfied with what had happened with the BOGO package.  He was very understanding, and was even pleased with the fact that we had bought into what he called their sister company KGI.

The next day my husband answered the phone and declined the offer with no problems.  The third phone call was completely uncalled for.  My daughter picked up the phone, when asked if they could talk to me, she said yes and begun to hand the phone to me.  When I picked up the phone, the caller had already began his sales pitch and I interrupted him by saying "Hello?" He then started over with his pitch. Already knowing who was calling and what they wanted, I told the sales representative that I was not interested.  He asked why and this is where the conversation when array.  I informed him that I had bought into KGI and I was dissatisfied with the BOGO package.  The seller began to cut off my conversation, and talk over me.  He took no time to listen to what I was saying.  He then began to blame me for what he thought was my short comings for not calling to complain to the company and that the "mail back card" may never have been received. I believe he also attempted to tell me that the BOGO package should have been used within the same 18 month time frame in which I had bought into, not the 2 years I was told.  I told him he was being aggressive, I didn't want the package, and hung up the phone.  Is ETourandTravel not in the customer service business? I do not find it my responsibility to make sure that the card was received and I do not know how long from the time it is received that the company is expected to contact the person about the BOGO package.  Does he believe that I should have called the potential recipient every day to see if they received any contact from them?  The BOGO package had already been misrepresented to me from the start; I believed that I had been duped about the BOGO package and did not press the issue.  The third caller was extremely unprofessional in his attempt to make me an offer.

When I informed him that I wasn't interested, and that I had informed the company of this fact for the past 3 days, this should have been the end of the conversation.  Even if he had attempted to salvage the sale by trying to offer it one more time, I would not have become aggravated.  However, the caller did not try to salvage the sal;, he only attempted to blame me for the BOGO package.  Unfortunately I am well aware of the fact that I will probably receive yet another phone call tomorrow to offer the same package. Anyone thinking about purchasing a package from this company should ask for documentation in writing prior to accepting the offer.  I'm not sure if this will do any good. I believe that they will say that the offer is only good while they have you on the phone.  And if you do purchase, be prepared to be harased in the future!
